Pumpkin Pie Wars (2016)
Romeo and Juliet weren't the only star-crossed lovers in the world. There were lots and lots of them through the ages. Family feuds aren't new either, but somehow PUMPKIN PIE WARS added a new flavour to the premise, storyline, treatment and what have you.
Julie Gonzalo and Eric Aragon look so good together that you would think they are a real life couple.
What I love about this film is the fact that even if it's supposed to be predictable, it still added some room, for lack of a better term at this moment, mystery. The twist made me say, "Awwwww."
The ending, though anti-climactic, made me feel warm and fuzzy inside.
Oh, and I couldn't have chosen better actors. Everyone, bit players included, were perfect for their respective roles. Thanks, Catherine Falcon, Bim Narine and team for choosing them.
