I pondered and pondered then I checked the movies I have seen that year. I wasn't able to check everything.  I did not need to for I saw it almost immediately: ETERNITY.  This was shown months after Moments of Love. Both movies tackled about the past and the present, but Eternity is about reincarnation and Moments of Love isn't. The movie showed the present and the past intermittently.  There were moments when I thought it was like DEAD AGAIN . Nora Roberts' MIDNIGHT BAYOU  was shown three years later, so I couldn't have compared this with that movie when I watched it the first time. Anyways, if you have not seen Eternity, then I wouldn't say if I was right in comparing ...

( source ) Jude/Judith Marie(Chai Fonacier), Bert/Hubert(Vincent Viado), Iyay/Maria Fatima(Jaclyn Jose), Mia(Precious Miel Espinoza), Jay(Melde Montañez) and Hudas the cute dog  Wow.  Just wow!  Except for Ms. Jaclyn Jose, the film fest princess/chameleon, Chai Fonacier, Olive Nieto and Angela "Mailes" Kanapi, this is the first time I've encountered the rest of the cast and I must say that they are all great thespians, including Vincent Viado(great actor and graceful dancer), Precious Miel Espinoza(little Mia) and Hudas the dog(don't know the dog's real name). It was great traveling with Iyay and her brood.  We were able to see the sights of Cebu and Dumaguete, feel the different emotions of Iyay and her kids, etc. Chai Fonacier is amazing.  I am speechless. From imdb This is the movie that gave the first acting recognition at the Cannes Film Festival(a.k.a Festival de Cannes/The International Film Festival) to Ms. Jaclyn Jose, one of the best in our Local Film Industry. Of course, we wanted to see what made "them" recognize her. So this is my two cents worth:  Ms. Jose's famous underacting  is really laudable and it proves that she is really a multifaceted person.  Still, I must say that she has played many other roles of international caliber, meaning, even better than how she acted in Ma' Rosa. Ms. Jaclyn Jose and her co-stars are brilliant.  The story?
