I am going to miss the afternoon Teleserye called ASINTADO (2018)

Image
Source: ABS-CBN There is no doubt, I will miss this series.  It may have had some flaws(Remember my complaints about surgical masks, et cetera ?), but this is one series I watched from start to finish because I enjoyed it so much.  The good guys only killed when necessary like when they were defending themselves, and only as a last resort.  Thanks to i Want TV  I never missed an episode(the video above is from Daily Motion, and NOT from the said online service). Sigh. All's well that ends well.  If you missed the episode, visit iWantTV  so you could watch it in high definition. The four main characters: Aljur Abrenica (Xander/Alexander), Julia Montes (Title Role...Ana/Juliana), Paulo Avelino (Gael) and Shaina Magdayao (Samantha/Katrina) Photograph from Pinoy Exchange Cherry Pie Picache (Celeste/Ms. C Ramos), Lorna Tolentino (Miranda Ojeda), Agot Isidro (Hillary Del Mundo), Nonie Buencamino (Salvador/Buddy Del Mundo), Ryle Pao...

The Things I watch on the telly nowadays(or via I Want TV or the GMA 7 Youtube Channel)

Disclaimer: I am NOT a couch potato.  Now that I am better, I do go out once in a while and besides, it's bad for the eyes---the whole body for that matter---if I transfix myself to the telly/television or my laptop even if it claims it has a retina display. SANA DALAWA ANG PUSO (From Fashion Pulis ) #SanaDalawaAngPuso #SDAP Just the stars and their co-stars alone are enough for me to take interest in a Princess and The Pauper type of show, but from day one it was already very interesting. It is implied that they are twins or could be twins because Lisa's mother left them and Mona's mother left a family heirloom for Mona(and what are the odds that they are named Mona and Lisa, huh?). There are times when Lisa feels whatever is happening to Mona. The two leading men are very appealing here and they act well. Bayani Agbayani is very witty and funny here. Ryan Bang is getting better and better.  Kitkat, Kiray, Alma Moreno, Boboy Garovillo, Carla Martinez,...

BALUT COUNTRY- Sinag Maynila 2015 (Gala Night)

Sinag Maynila's Balut Country Where a tragedy becomes a blessing in disguise BALUT COUNTRY is a movie about family, relationships, decisions and realizations revolving around the Duck/Goose industry and the lives of Jun and Dado. I learned a lot of things while watching this film...things that I probably took for granted while growing up. I know I was fond of mallards and geese(I played with them without hurting them) when I was in my formative years in the US of A and I guess I was one of the few who came from there  that love to eat balut  the moment I tasted it(not knowing it was the embryo of the duck).  I was not scared to eat it and I loved to sip the soup from the shell. I didn't realize that for me to enjoy balut , lots of people are involved and the process is long and hard...probably even tedious.  One of the things among many that I've learned via this movie is that ducks and geese eat snails  and for me, that is a very interesting ...

REKORDER: a "thinkers' movie"

Ronnie Quizon is an underrated actor who is more than just his father's son and that's the very reason why I fully support this film. Without expecting to like it, my best friend, Eise, accompanied me to watch it at the Alabang Town Center Cinema 4.  When I bought the tickets, a total of three people purchased the tickets. Tsk, tsk.   Unlike in Greenbelt where people were aware of the film fest, people from Alabang seemed oblivious to the fact.  I usually post things after the fact, but   I felt that I just had to do something and hopefully, someone would notice.    I don't even check-in because of security reasons(talo pa artista at politico, LOL), but I was compelled to post my ticket purchase(s).    I don't know if it helped or not, but  it does not matter.  Even if the place wasn't jam-packed or anything, there were more people who experienced  the movie with us. THE MOVIE  (New Breed Category of Cinemalay...
