The Love Affair (2015) R-13

The long-awaited film has finally arrived  and what made me interested in this film is the fact that even if Adrianne is  the other woman , she was not the cause of the rocky marriage between Vincent and Trish. Addie is a very intelligent, but scarred woman.  She underwent a lot of pain and trouble that she never imagined herself being in a situation  she hated  so much.  Everything she wanted to tell her dad's mistress and her fiancé's lover were uttered   to her by her lover's wife, but what touched  her soul was when the eldest and only girl talked to her, and she saw herself in her shoes.    Yes, you may say that this is an immoral movie, but this is also very touching indeed.  I cried, I laughed, I felt joy and peace, most especially towards the end of the film. Why did I cry?  There were a lot of moving scenes, most especially in the hospital.  I remembered my brothers and a whole lot more. Last nig...

filipinasinshowbiz.com "Phenomenal acting. Great story!" "Ms. Gretchen Barretto earns our respect anew!"  17 October 2014 There were many reasons why we were very apprehensive in watching this gem of a film.  We have two special people  in heaven and we did not want to undergo the pain of losing them again. We have let them go, but we did not want to subject ourselves to something that would make us dig up their graves and summon the forces to make their earthy rotted bodies come alive and become the walking dead. I'm exaggerating, of course, but... Another reason was the fact that I was not really fond of Gretchen Barretto.  Why? Let me keep that to myself, but please check what I think of her acting later.   Those two, among other things, were stopping us from seeing this masterpiece, and I'm oh so grateful that we changed our minds. The movie was seamless. Coincidences really happen in life because truth is truly stranger t...

She's Dating the Gangster (2014)

Source From ABS-CBN Just when we thought that the "KathNiel" love team was overrated, we were proven wrong.  Even if we  religiously  watched Got2Believe (plus Princess and I before that), we thought that everything was just hyped up that we did not have plans of watching this teen flick. "Thanks" to #glendaph(You rotten lady, why did you destroy the Bondoc Peninsula and other places!) and those power outages, we had no choice , but to watch this because we've already seen the other movies, and the other one  we haven't seen was going to be shown at a much later time. When we entered the cinema everyone was excited. Finally, when the movie started, everyone was focused, with occasional giggles that turned into laughter. Kathryn, Daniel and ALL their co-stars were very effective.  True, I couldn't imagine Kathryn morphing into Dawn Z when she gets older, but somehow it didn't matter.   I have seen Daniel Padilla in person, and he i...
