An Interview With God (2018)

Image
Director: Perry Lang Writer: Ken Aguado Giving Films I feel crazy.  I watched this with my folks not knowing who the stars are, and if the person to be interviewed by the journalist "claiming to be God" was a terrorist or something.  It was the only thing  we haven't seen besides Halloween, which we would never watch. When the movie started we learned that GIVING FILMS  was one of the producers/ distributors, and that meant that this movie was made for promulgation of the faith.  Giving Films is a non-profit organization. Oh, while we were looking at the cast(when we reached the cinema area of Alabang Town Center), of course we recognized DAVID STRATHAIRN's name. He's a man who played all types of roles, from the kindest to the vilest. BRENTON THWAITES is also no stranger to us.  We have seen him in many movies like GOD'S OF EGYPT(I watched this primarily because of Gerard Butler, but I didn't blog about this), MALEFICENT , PIRA...

Maleficent (2014)

Image
http://www.shesaved.com Disney is on a roll.  They have retold stories in much better ways.  The stories were revamped for our times and truly, there is goodness in everyone, even in the most mundane person.  No one was born evil, but... Anyways, let's not go there. MALEFICENT did not start as a bad person.  The narrator(if you are very keen, you would know whose version this story is) seems to know her very well.  She recounted her story from her childhood and how she turned that way.   The story is fair to the villainess. I love the scenes, the graphics and needless to say, but I'll say it anyway, the story. I never expected to like it this much.  Well, I know not everyone would agree with me.   Do I think the G rating is correct? No. I think it should have been rated PG.  There were a lot of scenes that scared the children. Anyways, what's done is done.   Oh, and by the way, it's NOT as golden as FROZEN, ...
