(story by) Robin Dunne ... (teleplay by) and Robert Vaughn ... (teleplay by) ROBIN DUNNE has been playing sleazy or shady characters in the past that I kind of forgotten that he could play a good person too.  His role here, DJ Mitch O'Grady, is such...a good person who used to love Christmas, and gave our female protagonist, Maggie(BROOKE NEVIN), the best Christmas ever a decade ago. Maggie decides to make Mitch love Christmas again by being his secret Santa.  The problem is, the higher ups want her to do a story about it, making her break the Journalism Code of Ethics:   Professional integrity is the cornerstone of a journalist's credib...

THE MOVIE A nurse (Candace Cameron Bure) from World War II is transported in time to 2016 and meets a man who helps her discover the bonds of family and that the true meaning of Christmas is timeless. Director :  Mel Damski Writer: Maria Nation This story reminded me about of the movie FREQUENCY so I thought about writing about these two movies together. A JOURNEY BACK TO CHRISTMAS  is about a miracle caused by the Du Toit Comet on December 22, 1945 and Frequency was caused by the Aurora Borealis. Two yarns about mystical or miraculous things that happened during real events.  I love the Christmas story better than Frequency, but even if some reviewers hated the ending(one link included below), I liked Frequency.  I just like A Journey Back to Christmas better because of the approach, the story, the cast, the characters, et cetera.   I included the links to the movies so you could view them yourselves. I won't make a long narra...

(story by) (as Kimberly Ann Seilhamer) A predictable story that makes you feel good inside, that's HOMETOWN HERO(HH). Thankfully, HH has more to offer, but predictable just the same. Nevertheless, HH capped my Sunday movie marathon... a marathon that I did not plan.  I was only intending to watch one movie, but I ended up watching two.  Wait.  I only watched two movies tonight and one this afternoon.  Does that count as a marathon?  ...

(story) Marcy Holland ... (written by) This is just a light holiday movie, and if you are not looking for anything cryptic/mysterious/macabre, this is for you. The story is nothing new, but the acting was good. There was no conflict, except for proximity, and nowadays, it's rarely a problem anymore. I can't say I love it, but I like it very much.
