The Great Wall (PG) 2016/ Split (PG) 2016

SM City BF Paranaque The Great Wall is a 2016 epic historical fiction action-adventure monster film(no wonder it was distributed by Legendary Pictures) directed by Zhang Yimou and written by Tony Gilroy, Carlo Bernard, Doug Miro, Max Brooks, Edward Zwick, and Marshall Herskovitz. Wikipedia Release date :  February 17, 2017 ( USA ) Director :  Zhang Yimou Honestly, just by looking at this...standee? OK, let's call it a standee, I never imagined the story to be told that "way".  During the first scenes I thought Will and Pero were in Arizona or Utah being chased by Native Americans and I wondered how in the world are they going to China(yes, I was too lazy to research about this and I also wanted just to sit back, relax and enjoy the movie at the Directors Club).  Little did I know that the Khitans were the ones chasing them. Anyways, this review speaks my mind:  MOVIE REVIEW: The Great Wall falls flat on story but towers in visual grandeur

( source )  ( source ) It's the Roaring `20s and Prohibition hasn't stopped the flow of booze in an underground network of gangster-run speakeasies. The opportunity to gain power and money is there for any man with enough ambition and nerve, and Joe Coughlin, the son of the Boston Police superintendent, long ago turned his back on his strict upbringing for the spoils of being an outlaw. But even among criminals there are rules, and Joe breaks a big one: crossing a powerful mob boss by stealing his money and his moll.  -WWW Release date: December 25, 2016 (USA) Director: Ben Affleck Adapted from: Live by Night (Coughlin series by Dennis Lehane) Screenplay: Ben Affleck     Music By: Harry Gregson-Williams ( source ) my ticket The film has mixed-reviews and I want to be honest that I read the spoilers before watching the film.   It was just as well, because I appreciated the film more.  Normally, I don't want to know everything before watch

(Source Paramount Pictures) Vin Diesel, Ruby Rose, Deepika Padukone, Nina Dobrev and Donnie Yen ( source ) Note to future audience:  Please don't overthink and just enjoy the movie.  Even if this is an action film that is violent and is somehow trying to emulate James Bond, this movie is meant to make us laugh and smile, OK? Plus, the BiSki exists.  If you are not aware of the technology, shut up! An article stated, rather, asked, that if one knew of the abilities of the gadget and one just stole it, how would the other one know of the features? I think you will get the answer much later on the film.  Whoever asked that question only based it on the trailer.  Just have fun, OK?  💃💃💃 👷👷👷👷👷 I like Vin Diesel(Just like I watch F&F series because of his co-stars---except for The Pacifier---I watched that because of him), but I watched this movie because of Nina Dobrev, Ruby Rose, Deepika Padukone, Kris Wu and Donnie Yen .  I was curious on how

Well, what do you know? I watched La La Land again after 2 days :-D (PG) 2016

(The  source  has spoilers) The Griffith Observatory's Planetarium The first time I've seen this was at the Alabang Town Center, with three of my friends.   The second time, dad was so guilty (and grateful at the same time) that he disturbed my resting because he became hungry that he made me cook a late lunch(we ate brunch after mass and he said I didn't need to cook lunch).  I didn't know he saw me crying because my left side was numb. I was scared of being paralyzed, but I thought he was in the office(a room in the house).  I cooked a large fish, that he almost devoured it(he thought I was cooking because he smelled something from the neighbor's kitchen that he called me up---yes, he did, because I was upstairs...I tried to sound happy to receive his call, so he wouldn't worry about me).  Thank God, when I was able to taste a teeny portion, it was delicious.   "Let's watch a movie," he said.  "What do you want to watch?"

Saving Sally 2016 (PG)

Marty (Enzo Marcos) a comic-book artist who sees annoying people as monsters has unrequited romantic love towards his best friend Sally ( Rhian Ramos ), a gadget inventor.- Wikivisually.com Official Website Why are there lots and lots of torpes (NOT the "village idiot", but someone who could not tell the person he loves his feelings...he keeps on reeling and whenever he has the guts to tell her, something would stop him)in this world?  Why can't we just express ourselves? Why does fear of rejection have to reign? I can go on and on and on.   Sally and Marty liked each other from day one, but friendship got in the way.  I remember that scene from "With Honors"(a movie more famous for Madonna's song called "I'll Remember" than the movie itself) when Brendan Fraser's role, Monty, decided to "end the friendship" with Courtney as played by Moira Kelly, with a kiss.   The scene: Courtney: What are you doin
