Screenplay by Gina Marissa Tagasa-Gil A few days ago I reposted an old thing I have written about Moments of Love .  There was something about the year Moments of Love was shown. I pondered and pondered then I checked the movies I have seen that year. I wasn't able to check everything.  I did not need to for I saw it almost immediately: ETERNITY.  This was shown months after Moments of Love. Both movies tackled about the past and the present, but Eternity is about reincarnation and Moments of Love isn't. The movie showed the present and the past intermittently.  There were moments when I thought it was like DEAD AGAIN . Nora Roberts' MIDNIGHT BAYOU  was shown three years later, so I couldn't have compared this with that movie when I watched it the first time. Anyways, if you have not seen Eternity, then I wouldn't say if I was right in comparing ...

( SOURCE ) One of my favourite movies of all time is BABANGON AKO'T DUDURUGIN KITA...almost all Lino Brocka films, for me, are classics and worth watching. Revenge may sound sweet to those who have the means to destroy the lives of those who ruined theirs in the past, but in the end, you would realise that it is just a vicious cycle.  If you do win in the end, would you really feel like a winner? This is one of my favourite Bembol Roco films, and I think this is also one of the best Sharon Cuneta has ever starred in. I think besides the horror of politics and scandalous relationships, I think that one of the lessons of this movie is that we should never treat anyone we love as gods and make them our world because it would eventually destroy us.  Another lesson is that crime does not pay. Ruben Rustia, who plays Salve's dad, made us feel his displaced love for his daughter.  He had all the good intentions for his daughter, but his heart got broke...
