Kudos to the cast and crew of BEAUTIFUL JUSTICE (GMA 7 action drama series)

From  Pep.ph Sigh.  I have separation anxiety #sepanx with this series that I have grown to love.  It had its off days, but MOST of the time, the scenes are exciting, putting me to the edge of my seat, giving me cheap thrills, or making me laugh.   There are times when I get traumatized by a scene or two, that I have to play the piano first before doing my research or anything else...or for me to have happy thoughts before sleeping.  That's how effective the script and execution are.  Or else, why should it be so real to me when I know that it is only a work of fiction? It's not really advisable for people who have PTSD to watch this, according to my friends who tried watching this, but couldn't because it was so convincing that they had to undergo cleansing rituals  so-to-speak before becoming OK.  If the very supposedly harmless COCOON could do that to people with mental health issues, then I guess something like this that is so...

Basing on the pilot episode or world premiere plus tonight's episode, so far so good! #BeautifulJustice

From GMA 7 Created by: Loi Argel Nova    Written by: Des Garbes-Severino Obet Villela Glaiza Ramirez Directed by: Mark A. Reyes V Starting September 9, Coco Martin's Ang Probinsyano has a new rival program: GMA-7's Beautiful Justice starring (left frame, L-R) Bea Binene, Yasmien Kurdi, and Gabbi Garcia.   PHOTO/S: NOEL ORSAL / @COCOMARTIN_PH ON INSTAGRAM from Pep.PH ARTICLE: Beautiful Justice director Mark Reyes comments on going against Ang Probinsyano for the third time If the first two nights of #BeautifulJustice are  indications of the success of this series, then I must say that this series is pretty interesting, indeed, and it may be a strong contender for the reigning TV series from the rival network. Encantadia ended while they were still ahead. Yes, even when the ratings of the said show were definitely much higher than FPJ's ANG PROBINSYANO, and it is mentioned in the article  written by  James Pa...

IFlix Originals' MYSTIFIED (2019) Episode 1

I don't know about the others, but the version I've seen didn't have subtitles(promise, I watched it for free via iFlix).  For one reason or another I kind of liked it that way.  Even if I could only guess some of the words...and I'm not talking about Latin or Spanish, but the language of sorc...

Watching an old DVD: Eternity (2006)

Image
Google images The theme song Story by Mark Reyes Directed by Mark A. Reyes D.G.P.I. Screenplay by Gina Marissa Tagasa-Gil A few days ago I reposted an old thing I have written about Moments of Love .  There was something about the year Moments of Love was shown. I pondered and pondered then I checked the movies I have seen that year. I wasn't able to check everything.  I did not need to for I saw it almost immediately: ETERNITY.  This was shown months after Moments of Love. Both movies tackled about the past and the present, but Eternity is about reincarnation and Moments of Love isn't. The movie showed the present and the past intermittently.  There were moments when I thought it was like DEAD AGAIN . Nora Roberts' MIDNIGHT BAYOU  was shown three years later, so I couldn't have compared this with that movie when I watched it the first time. Anyways, if you have not seen Eternity, then I wouldn't say if I was right in comparing ...

Till I Met You (2006)

This is a poster for Till I Met You. The poster art copyright is believed to belong to the distributor of the film, GMA Films VIVA Films, the publisher of the film or the graphic artist. Directed by Mark A. Reyes Story by Annette Gozon-Abrogar Screenplay by Benedict Mique  Till I Met You(TIMY) is a movie I have seen for a total of eight times since it was shown in 2006.  I remember it well.  I watched it first on October 15.  It was one of the movies I watched with my movie buddy, RJ, who is now in heaven.  It was a Sunday then and we watched it at Festival Supermall.   It's a movie that gave me a light feeling.  It sort of reminded me of the Sheryl Cruz and Cesar Montano starrer called GANITO BA ANG UMIBIG?(1990), but the story is totally different.   Why did it remind me of it?  Well, I can't totally figure it out, but I guess I know why. ;-) TIMY is very amusing and endearing.  It also had so many ex...

Trip Ubusan (The Lolas vs. Zombies) Graded A ---2017 (Parental Guidance)

Archie Adamos,  Jhayvot Galang, Arthur Solinap, Lovely Abella, Angelika Dela Cruz, Taki Saito, Kenneth Medrano, Ryzza Mae Dizon, Miggy Tolentino, Shaira Mae Dela Cruz, Jose Manalo, Wally Bayola, Paolo Ballesteros and Caprice Cayetano ( source ) Writers: Raymund Navarro -   story (also known for Kapitan Awesome) Ma. Acy Q. Ramos - screenplay (also known for With A Smile, Princess in the Palace, etc.)    Mark A. Reyes V is a very versatile director.  He is able to direct movies, TV Shows, TV series or whatever else without being stuck in one genre.   Trip Ubusan is supposed to be a parody or a spoof of TRAIN TO BUSAN,  but like some of the critics or reviewers described, it's more than that. Of course, I had to see it for myself.  Would I have a different opinion or would I agree with them?   After watching it I agree with them. The movie is not just about laughs or scary zombies, it's...

I might as well blog about this: MY KOREAN JAGIYA

한국인 자기야 Created by: Jonathan Cruz Developed by: Lilybeth G. Rasonable Written by: Ken de Leon Marlon Miguel Christine Novicio Directed by: Mark A. Reyes V Main Stars: Heart Evangelista- Guadalupe Immaculada "Gia" Asuncion Iya Villania- Teacher Kennedy Santos Khane Dela Cruz- Pao Myke Salamon- Kerwin Valeen Montenegro-Cindy Kim Raymart Santiago- Dodong Del Prado Frances Makil-Ignacio- Carrie Washington Divine-Clarissa Ricky Davao-Tita Josie Janice De Belen-Tita Aida Edgar Allan Guzman-Ryan  This is the series that lifts up my spirits.  When the trailer was shown the first time my first reaction was, "Of all the great Hallyu actors out there, why him?"  He's not bad to look at, but I just did not see any chemistry between him and Heart Evangelista, but when I started watching from day 1, I got hooked.  The Crazy Girl and the super " sungit at galit sa mundo " Korean Super Star do have chemistry a...

Just some observations about the local teleseryes and soaps featuring SECOND CHANCES and THE HALF SISTERS

Image
Disclaimer:  These are just my observations as an ordinary televiewer.  Nobody paid me to say these things.  I also updated this by removing some of the stuff I copy -pasted because they "sounded" weird. 😊 Random musings Thank goodness, our stories have evolved from being  baduy  to becoming world class.  A lot of our stories have been retold or dubbed and showed in other countries, appreciated by hundreds of thousands of viewers or millions even.  They shoot on location, and the actors even have seminars and workshops so that they would be able to portray their roles as real as real could be.  You could say that we  have gone a long, long way from being trapped in studio lots(hey, our studio lots are not like Universal Studios and the like), et cetera .   Whenever I have the time or whenever I need some "noise" while I research or write something, I watch and/or just listen to the dear old telly.   More often t...
