It's not the best comedy of errors...dang, it's not even the best spy film, but it has its merits.  The scenes w...

Third Person (2013 Toronto Film Festival) R-16

(Sorry, but I cannot write about this film without some spoilers) We were only four people in the cinema and all of us knew each other. Why? Because I watched it with my mom, my dad and my younger brother. It was always pretty awkward watching a restricted film with my parents in a public  theater, so I was feeling a bit iffy, but I don't think I would have it any other way.  After all, we were all adults.  My dad's in his late 70's, my mom's in her mid 70s, plus my brother and I were both in our 40's so I guess it was perfectly alright. The movie had a good way of interlocking the stories, but there were many, many goofs.   Like how would someone in New York bump into someone in Paris? This was not a story about portals or sliding doors.  It's a story about Michael( Neeson ), a very successful writer who is estranged with his wife Elaine( Bassinger ) with a very young up and coming beautiful and sexy journalist called Anna( Wilde ) as...

Thirty years after war turned the world into a wasteland, a lone warrior named Eli (Denzel Washington) marches across the ruined landscape, carrying hope for humanity's redemption. Only one other man (Gary Oldman) understands the power of what Eli carries, and he is determined to take it for himself. Though Eli prefers peace, he will risk death to protect his precious cargo, for he must fulfill his destiny to help restore mankind.-WWW #dystopia To be honest I did not want to watch this movie because the trailer looked so depressing. My curiosity was stirred up a bit when some of my friends mentioned that they love the powerful message of the story. They all warned me that it would be dragging at first, but it was a good movie to watch. We take things for granted. Right now we have so much to thank for, but what do we do about it?  As early as now we should learn how to care for our environment and praise God from Whom all blessings flow. Eli(DENZEL WASHINGTON), the cen...
