11 Things You Never Knew About Gregorio Del Pilar The movie JERROLD TAROG directed is really an epic film with 75% facts and 25% fiction.  Well, I don't know how accurate that is, but just as it is stated at the start of the film, it is filled historical facts mixed with fiction for a narrative purpose.  Something like that. When I first saw the trailer above, I told myself I would definitely watch this.  I thought to myself, I needed a good laugh...something to take the blues away.  What I didn't realize was that this was more than a comedy.  It's a movie with direct and hidden messages...a movie that hits several soft spots...a movie that a lot of people, if not all, could relate to. It's the first time, I think, that I've encountered Antoinette Jadaone, and I must say that she's a very good raconteur and director.  I haven't checked who the casting director is, but I must say that he or she chose the actors well.  From the bit players, to the sorta kinda villains, to the best friends, to the in-laws(future in-laws), families to the main characters, the characters were tailor-made for them.   It was great to see familiar faces that I didn't expect to see. TUHOG main cast:  Jake Cuenca, Enchong Dee, Eugene Domingo and Leo Martinez TUHOG theme song Tuhog is a very unconventional film noir that pulls the heartstrings and opens the mind.   The ending for me and my mom was quite unexpected, so I won't talk about it here...and for those who are wondering, NO, this is NOT a remake of a Klaudia Koronel film(aka Larger than Life). I got interested in this movie the moment the trailer was shown. The number one reason was because of Eugene Domingo as FIESTA . She for me is one of the best actors/performers/comediennes in the world.  She is also very, very intelligent and witty.  Being all that, one would think it would get into her head, but she is one of the humblest beings in the entire universe. Perhaps, that's an exaggeration, but that's how I see her. Now, add the very dashing debonair Jake Cuenca, the ultra talented Leo Martinez and the  muy simpatico  Enchong Dee , then the sum is a MUST SEE...
