ISA PA, WITH FEELINGS (2019)

Image
Introduction that you may skip: Learning about this movie made me pretty excited to watch it.  It had a different concept, and I was prepared to cry a lot.  I was told that for me not to shed tears in a movie, I should really be armed with lots of tissues. Dang.  Even with all the preparations, I still cried.  You see, my maternal grandmother was deaf, and she could only hear us with a hearing aid.  Since I was little I was scared of being deaf, so I prepared for "it" with the hope by preparing I won't ever go deaf. I served in the Deaf Ministry for a couple of years, but when my mom and I started fighting because of the things she misinterpreted, I told myself I should stop serving because it would make me look like a hypocrite, even if I am not. I do miss them a lot, but I would rather serve in different ways. ISA PA WITH FEELINGS source Watching this with my partially deaf mother, and my dad, who is hard of hearing because of his med...

EXes Baggage (2018)

Image
An official theatrical movie poster for the 2018 Philippine rom-com film entitled "Exes Baggage" under Black Sheep Productions and distributed by  Star Cinema If there's one thing I really liked about this movie, I liked and still like the theme song called MAYBE THE NIGHT.  I love this version(ORIGINAL) by Ben&Ben, but I also liked how Carlo Aquino sang it to Angelica...rather, I liked how Nix sang it to Pia. DIRECTED BY DAN VILLEGAS WRITTEN BY DWEIN BALTAZAR I'm a CarGel fan.  Yes, I truly am.  I love ANGELICA PANGANIBAN because she's very versatile.  She can play any role.  She can be classy, naughty, nice, full of spice, scary, evil, cheap, funny or whatever else.  She's a chameleon. I like CARLO AQUINO.  He's a great actor and a good singer. Did I like the movie? Well, my parents did and so did the rest of the people in the theatre.  They especially loved the ending.  They called it realistic, et cete...

Meet Me In St. Gallen (2018) PG (Watched it twice)

Image
( source ) Written and Directed by Irene Villamor Without giving the whole story away, I must say we, my parents and I, love the ending.  We may not have applauded, but it etched a lot of good memories in our hypothalami. Carlo Aquino has honed his craft and is more appealing, but his character is smug and the first time  they(Celeste and Jesse) parted ways(sorta kinda a spoiler), Jesse should've convinced Celeste to stay, but he just allowed her to hail a cab. After several years they see each other again(spoiler alert again), he was "in love" with another, he didn't even look for her, but since he found out he filled her senses he was smug again, then when she told him to go, he left...if I go on then I'll give the story totally away. I would rather people run to the cinemas to find out what I mean. Dad and I planned to watch this a day before a close friend told me that we were going to watch this today.  I didn't want to watch that po...
