Hallmark's Bottled With Love (2019)/ Lifetime's Snowed-Inn Christmas (2017)

From  imdb Directed by  David Weaver Written by  Kelly Bowe After being stood up, Abbey gets inspired to open her heart in a letter, put it in a bottle and toss it out to sea. Months later, a man fishing discovers it and opts to reach out. Starring  Bethany Joy Lenz  and  Andrew Walker . Original airdate: April 13, 2019- The Hallmark Channel My feet felt like floating on air after watching this movie.  Yes, I was on cloud nine, and I still am. It took some elements from certain classics, but it also added some reality, and something new to it. I wasn't able to watch Snowed-Inn Christmas when I watched this, so I wasn't sure if their partnership could work, but I was pretty amazed that it did. There's just something about BETHANY JOY LENZ that makes you go beyond her looks.  Little by little you would love the character she's playing, then voila , you would see how beautiful she...I mean, her character...is inside and o...

Royal Matchmaker(2018)

Directed by MIKE ROHL Written by Mark Amato When I learned BRITTANY BRISTOW was in this movie, I wondered why she wasn't the Royal Matchmaker.  It's not that I don't like BETHANY JOY LENZ, because I do.  I just wondered, that's all.  When I came to terms with it, I thought Brittany's role would end up with the Prince's Valet, Victor(JOSEPH THOMPSON), but... Anyways, I am writing about this because I like the story...the acting is good, but I just didn't see the chemistry between Bethany and WILL KEMP. Will's eyes did not glow when Bethany was around.  The story obviously pointed to that direction, but the acting, though I reiterate was good, did not make us see what the King(SIMON DUTTON) saw. I remember when I was in love with someone ages ago, one of my friends said, "I don't see any chemistry between the two of you." It turned out she was right.  I remembered that friend when I was watching this movie because that's how ...

Christmasland (2015)/ The Christmas Secret (2014)

Image
This is not really a review.  It's a blog entry about how I related to these two Christmas movies that touched my heart. After inheriting a 206 acre Christmas tree farm, a woman's plans to sell it change when she falls in love with the townspeople and meets a charming lawyer named Tucker. Director: Sam Irvin Writers: Daisy MacLean , Robin Archer and Jay Cipriani Casting By  Dean E. Fronk Jeff Johnson Donald Paul Pemrick In 1997 I learned that the Santa's Village at Lake Arrowhead was going to close.  I felt really sad about this.  Years later I wondered if it was still open.  I was directed to the Sky Park, so I guess in a way it's still open, right?  So I did more digging and found out that it did close in March 1998, but some people were kind enough to buy it in 2014, restored it, added more attractions, etc.  It has been fully operational for almost two years now, and I hope and pray I would get to visit it one day...
