( source ) Written and Directed by MICHAEL V When plans for the day did not come to fruition, dad, mom, and I decided to watch a movie instead.  We've seen most of the blockbusters, and the others were Horror Flicks(not really our cups of tea, with some exceptions, of course) so we were left with no choice  but to watch FAMILY HISTORY. Boy, were we surprised. The style and treatment were done before, but we were so impressed by the flow of the story, the acting, the injection of graphic arts, the cinematography, et cetera , most especially the direction.  The topics aren't new, and  they are all very relatable, but how the characters dealt with the different situations proves that the writer/director/producer/composer, MICHAEL V, is a genius. We were going to hit several birds with one stone(I hate the saying hitting two birds with one stone and now I say several) and one of those birds was watching this movie: SEVEN SUNDAYS. The stars were well chosen and the director, Ms. Cathy Garcia-Molina, never fails to deliver. It had old and new elements, but the story was well told and greatly acted.   OK, I didn't like the racist remarks towards the end of the film, but we have to be open minded about this.  This was a very arrogant person trying to diss their family and they were just united as a family. I think the message of the movie is that no matter what differences we all have as a family, at the end of the day, " Damay na! " My folks loved it.  They did not expect to like it and they said it even exceeded their expectations. RAK's Final(/) run We left the City of Parañaque at 4:43 PM, Philippine Standard Time, but we arrived at the PETA Theater Center during the intermission.  At least, we were still able to watch the second act and the two friends who went straight to the Theater, because of the power of modern technology(Viber/Email), were let in because I sent photographs of the bar codes and we sent them the confirmation email of the tickets.  At least, two of us were able to enjoy the whole musical. A certified blockbuster/box office hit It's true.  I am one of those who love the AlDub tandem, though I must say that I'm a late bloomer.  I didn't jump the bandwagon all at once.  It took time for me to appreciate these two young artists as a pair, but they "grew on me". Even if I love them, I was so out of the loop for the longest time that when one of my closest friends invited me and another of my closest friends to watch #IYAM, I never imagined I would like it so much...that WE would like is so much. The quality of the film is of International Caliber.  Only a portion of the film was shot in the Philippines, but even if almost the whole movie was set in Italy, the story captures the hearts of Global Filipinos anywhere in the world(yes, it seems redundant, but...).
