Alone/Together (2019)

Image
From Google Images Alone Together earns P61.9 million in two days, says ABS-CBN subsidiary Written and directed by the critically acclaimed Antoinette Jadaone , Alone/Together, is a story many, if not all, can relate to.  Most of us, when we were very young and idealistic we wanted to change the world, but end up being the scum we thought we'd never be.  LIZA SOBERANO is really more than a pretty face.  She's intelligent, and a true thespian.  I love her chemistry with real life beau, ENRIQUE GIL.  Even if they are both in love with each other in real life, they made us believe they were...are...Tin and Raf.  Yes, they were Tin and Raf, who drawn to each other the instant they came across each other at our National Museum  in front of Juan Luna's Spoliarium . The two have an instant connection that if you haven't the slightest idea what this story about, you would wonder how Aly( Jasmine Curtis-Smith ) and Greg( Adrian Alandy ) became a part of their lives

Eto na! Musikal nAPO! (2019) #MusikalnAPO

( source:Rappler ) Written and Directed by ROBBIE GUEVARA Music and Lyrics by DANNY JAVIER, JIM PAREDES and BOBOY GAROVILLO "EWAN" Lyrics by LOUIE OCAMPO and Music by ROWENA ARRIETA Introduction: Have you, the ones that know I love watching musicals, ever wondered why I haven't blogged about the musical that showcased the songs of the APO Hiking Society?   Well, I wondered too.   I was spellbound by the music I grew up with, and the acting was great. It featured MARK BAUTISTA(who reprised his role in 2019) who found his niche in musical theatre, and so many talented artists. The songs were of course dear to my heart, and the lyrics of most of the songs are already embedded in my system.   So why couldn't I write about it? Maybe because of the effects of Martial Law, and how people are made to believe nowadays that only subversive people were making a "spectacle" of it. After our "stint" in the US of A, and even when we alre

She has great chemistry with ADAM DEVINE that they are like the Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers of this day and age.  Rebel actually compared their duo to Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling.  That's how comfortable they are with one another.  I guess locally we could say they are the Christopher De Leon and Vilma Santos onscreen love team, among other great pairs who appear in many screen projects together without being romantically involved. Successful Arizona architect Phillip Danville(GREG EVIGAN) has horses on his estate. After his daughter Jenna(ANDREA BOWEN) incurs possibly incurable spinal injuries during a riding competition, her fiancé Carson(DAVID THOMAS JENKINS) leaves. Phillip arranges for her to be admitted to a specialized institute, where physiotherapist Eugene Gibbs(NICHOLAS GONZALEZ) does the best possible experimental rehab combination job, and competitive fellow patient Annie(FIONA DOURIF) contributes motivation. Home at the ranch, equally hunky neighbor Will Dutton(RICK MALAMBRI), a veterinarian whose rodeo career ended in a multiple leg fracture, cures the Danville's star horse(BENTLEY) and becomes Jenna's new boyfriend.   Written by  KGF Vissers   The summary above gave some spoilers, but there's more to the story than those things.  What I am going to write about is how I relate to Jenna and what she has been through, and this is definitely NOT a review. The others who reviewed th

The Story of Us (2019)

Directed by Scott Smith Story by Deborah Jones Teleplay by Tracy Andreen Not a lot of people would agree with me, but TRACY ANDREEN made an old story look interesting.  I had a good feeling when the movie ended, so why should I say otherwise?  People were kind to MAGGIE LAWSON, but people were mean to SAM PAGE. Why?   They don't see chemistry?  Well, I do. Maybe it's not as lovey-dovey like the other stories or as mushy, but this time I welcomed the gradual process of getting back together after being separated for a long time, like PRINCESS BRIDE , and PERSUASION , two books that talked about in this movie. Yes, the story is formulaic.  I know, I know, I get tired of the same old story too, but it's sort of different.   Come on. When we watch movies, as long as they are not plagiarised, don't we sometimes say, "Did someone research about me?" So you check the name of the author, but you don't know him or her from Adam. I like the supp

Real Murders(2015); 6. Reap What You Sew(2018); 7. The Julius House(2016); 8. A Bone to Pick(2015); 9. A Bundle of Trouble(2017) From Google Images Candace Cameron Bure is one of my favourite actors.  Even if the characters she is playing all sound like her(Candace), she acts so well that it gets overlooked.  She is very versatile and beautiful inside out, so she is also a joy to watch. I think  she can play any role given her.  She is strong enough for action films, so she can do that too.  She can do comedy, and she can do serious drama.  She is also an animal lover, etc.   All those qualities of her are seen in the different episodes of Aurora Teagarden Mysteries. So far I've already seen nine(9) episodes.  I believe there are two more and I'm p

A few minutes later I thought of changing my mind because of the way Jesse handled things, and because Chaz(PHILIP BOYD) was such an A-hole.  A few seconds
