The Things I watch on the telly nowadays(or via I Want TV or the GMA 7 Youtube Channel)

Disclaimer: I am NOT a couch potato.  Now that I am better, I do go out once in a while and besides, it's bad for the eyes---the whole body for that matter---if I transfix myself to the telly/television or my laptop even if it claims it has a retina display. SANA DALAWA ANG PUSO (From Fashion Pulis ) #SanaDalawaAngPuso #SDAP Just the stars and their co-stars alone are enough for me to take interest in a Princess and The Pauper type of show, but from day one it was already very interesting. It is implied that they are twins or could be twins because Lisa's mother left them and Mona's mother left a family heirloom for Mona(and what are the odds that they are named Mona and Lisa, huh?). There are times when Lisa feels whatever is happening to Mona. The two leading men are very appealing here and they act well. Bayani Agbayani is very witty and funny here. Ryan Bang is getting better and better.  Kitkat, Kiray, Alma Moreno, Boboy Garovillo, Carla Martinez,...

Just the 3 of Us (R-13) 2016

note: I was able to watch great movies before this one, but for one reason or another I wasn't able to blog about them. Director: Cathy Garcia-Molina An unlikely love story between polar opposites Uno(JOHN LLOYD CRUZ) and CJ(JENNYLYN MERCADO), two strangers, and how one night changes their lives forever. Unforeseen circumstances collide and force Uno and CJ to live under the same roof as they both deal with their sense of responsibility and their yearning for security. Uno is motivated by his sense of family while CJ is governed by an unconditional love that should put her first above everything else. The unlikely thing that binds Uno and CJ together paves the way for them to find in each other the kind of love they never thought they needed. ( source ) Just the 3 of Us is a feel good romantic comedy.  Heartstrings were pulled towards the middle of the film, but it was balanced with lots of laughs, love of family, great friends, etc. The very cute neighbour, H...

Past Tense (2014)

( source ) Xian Lim, Kim Chiu, Ai Ai Delas Alas and Director Mae Cruz-Alviar ( source ) Typhoon QUEENIE hit Visayas and Mindanao really, really hard and because of this, some provinces were not able to watch this movie.  If one is fighting for dear life... When Boy Abunda talked to Kim Chiu about this, she just said, "Soft opening pa lang po..." Kim has been bashed for her winning BEST ACTRESS for her roles as Isabel, Jacq and Andrea in Ikaw Lamang ( 28th PMPC Star Awards for Television ). Even if all her contenders are great actors, I don't know why people have been bashing her.  She's a very versatile actor/actress and played her parts well.  I somehow felt her pain when she cried.  Thankfully, Xian Lim is very supportive and helps her to overcome all those obstacles with head held high. She also did well as the 2014 version of Rosabelle.  PAST TENSE is a  romantic comedy directed by Mae Cruz-Alviar  about two friends w...
