Three Weeks, Three Kids (2011)

Both photos are from imdb Directed by  Mark Jean Writing Credits   Jean Abounader (story) & J.B. White (story)   J.B. White (teleplay) This movie was literally SHELVED for the longest time, until today.  I just didn't have the energy to watch something so SHALLOW, so I thought. This movie is not shallow at all.  Yes, it was very OBVIOUS that the younger sister played by ANNA CHLUMSKY would eventually grow up, and that neighbour of her Big Sister, Mandy(CHELAH HORSDAL), as played by WARREN CHRISTIE, would be her future beau because her dunce of a boyfriend(JESSE HUTCH) did not deserve her attention. Still there were surprises here and there. The problems of the kids are nothing new, and so were the solutions, but I like how this movie was acted by the ensemble. As for Mandy and her loving husband, Brian(WILLIAM DEVRY), they had some romance to be rekindled, so it could be said that they had to do something about that too. ...

The Most Wonderful Time of Year (2008)

Jennifer Cullen (Brooke Burns) is a single, working mom who has become somewhat of a Scrooge when it comes to the Holiday season. Even her six-year-old son Brian is having trouble believing in Santa Claus. When Jen’s Uncle Ralph (Henry Winkler) , a retired police officer, comes to visit for Christmas, he brings along a new friend, a nomad and Jack-of-all-trades named Morgan Derby (Warren Christie) . The two met on a flight, and Morgan’s plans to continue on to Denver are cancelled when he finds out the city is completely snowed in. Jen is wary of the stranger, but at Ralph’s request, agrees to let him stay the night. She warms up to Morgan, especially when she sees how he interacts with Brian. Uncle Ralph approves of Morgan, too, but Jen’s boyfriend Richard isn’t nearly as receptive. Meanwhile, Morgan has started to really like Jen, but if she can’t manage to make Christmas about anything more than business, Morgan will be on his way to Denver, and she’ll have missed the opportunity...

The Color of Rain(2014) Based on the lives of Michael and Gina Spehn

The movie   is so beautiful.  I hope people get to watch it. While consoling each other over the recent loss of their spouses, a man (Warren Christie) and a woman (Lacey Chabert) grow close and fall in love. Director :  Anne Wheeler Matt Kell's homecoming was Christmas Day 2005.  In February 2006, six weeks after Matt passed on, Cathy Spehn joined her Maker. Matt was prepared and even made a digital video diary for their boys, to guide them while growing up.  Cathy's passing was not expected.  She was hospitalised due to a headache, but before she expired she told her husband, Michael, to call Gina Kell. He didn't call Gina Kell, but told her after Cathy's memorial service.  The movie is based on their blended family's story.  Michael and Gina  had many hurdles to jump before they could be a family.  Of course, those non-judgmental  people had a lot to say  like it was too early for them to be conn...
