Team 6 in May 2011. My thoughts on the movie: Due to the recent events  the movies being shown on TV are similar  to those events that I was able to watch this film. I have been wanting to see this since this was initially released because it has a powerhouse cast and according to press releases, this movie was based on first-hand accounts.  That meant that there was little room for fiction.  Of course, some of the names had to be fictionalized and for cinematic effect, some scenes were exaggerated a bit. It was one of my favorite shows and I felt for both the nice humans and the nice apes, but when the 2001 version megged by Tim Burton was released, I did not have any desire to watch it.  I don't know why, but I promised myself that I would never watch Planet of the Apes again. In 2011, THE RISE OF THE PLANET OF THE APES became a blockbuster hit.  Thinking it was another Tim Burton(I like Tim Burton and his movies, but...) version, I did not watch it. I did not even have plans of watching THE DAWN OF THE PLANET OF THE AP...

Instead of saying anything negative(because there are a lot), I will just mention the good points. OLYMPUS HAS FALLEN: 1. It has Gerard Butler as Mike Banning, the HERO. Gerard is one of my Hollywood crushes...sigh 2. Morgan Freeman, Aaron Eckhart, Dylan Mc Dermott, Angela Bassett and Finley Jacobsen were superb! 3. Nothing beats the " original " WHITE HOUSE DOWN: 1. The story is very believable and has integration.  The actors were ALL great. 2. I didn't "see that coming" 3. Channing Tatum is hot!  4. Joey King is a darling 5. James Woods, Maggie Gyllenhaal and Richard Jenkins are so convincing.  6. Jamie Foxx is very charming. 7.
