Autumn in the Vineyard (2016)/Summer in the Vineyard(2017)

From imdb
A man and woman with a strained history discover th
at they share ownership of a vineyard. They learn to trust each other and create a more fruitful partnership.
Director: Scott Smith
Based on Marina Adair's book of the same title
Screenplay/Teleplay by Souzette Couture

Being each other's only real romantic love, the time apart was like, well not hell because this is a light movie, but like limbo, whether limbo exists or not.

The Delucas and the Baldwins are longtime rivals in business, but not enemies.  They have, at the very least, been civil with one another.  In the not so distant past, they almost merged because of Frankie and Nate, but as these kind of stories go, something happened along the way to keep them apart.

When finally they see each other again, this is where their actually begins.

Even if the story has old elements, I am just glad it didn't dwell too much on the certain situations like sexual tension and enmity.

There were other issues tackled that unfortunately went in between their blossoming friendship.

The long and short of it, they were able to overcome the trials.  How?  Watch the movie to find out.  ;-)

In the sequel to Autumn in the Vineyard, Frankie and Nate are now a couple and are gearing up for Summer Fest, the town's largest event. They can't wait to reveal their new wine and put the vineyard on the map. But when an issue with the wine puts things in jeopardy, both the relationship and the partnership will be put to the test. Based on the book "Summer in Napa" by Marina Adair, the Consulting Producer
Screenplay by Julie Sherman Wolfe

Directed by Martin Wood
If people thought Autumn In The Vineyard's ending was like a cliff hanger, well they were right.  Here's the sequel to that movie.

The book this was based on focuses on Lexi, Frankie's cousin and Marco, Nate's little brother and Hannah, Frankie's best friend's ex, which is somehow just a subplot in this TV movie.  Another subplot is about Carla DeLuca and Charles Baldwin.

Here, Lexi(Tegan Moss) just meets Marco(Marcus Rosner) for the first time.  In the book, they had a past.  It doesn't matter, the story is still 75% faithful to the book, thanks to the supervision of Ms. Adair.

Someone said the main character of both movies is the llama.  Like me, they like Autumn in the Vineyard much better.  The books are equal, but the movies aren't.

I don't agree with the "no chemistry" part.  They do have chemistry.  Rachel has chemistry with Brendan and Tegan has chemistry with Marcus.

I have no right to say this because I'm just a ghostwriter of certain stuff and haven't really proven myself yet, but as an observer I think I have to say that although I like this sequel, it seemed to be a good high school project starring high school students.  That is not exactly a bad thing.  Sometimes there are those High School productions that leave your mouth agape.  It's just that the conversations here seem like not your ordinary day conversations among couples, but who knows?  Somewhere in Mount Tralala, there are people who converse that way.

There's also this small issue between a macaron and a macaroon, which actually the same thing in America.  A macaron to some Americans is a French macaroon, but they actually have a difference.  First off, a macaroon is coconut based, whereas a macaron is meringue based.

Who cares, right?  Well, I do, but I'm willing to forgive that because of sweet Lexi, the pastry chef in this movie(and novel).  After all, I do have some mistakes myself like the spelling of straitjacket and the pronunciation of bruschetta among other things.

Oh, and I just realised something while watching this sequel.  Frankie's brother, Jonah who is a member of the Police Force, is the namesake of that kid in Sleepless in Seattle.   I wonder why I didn't notice it before.

Anyways, since the relationship between Frankie and Nate seemed so perfect, they just had to put a little conflict to make the story more interesting and thankfully, Nate listened to his little brother, Marco.

Well, I'm blabbering again, so let me just say, "Let's toast to the Summer of St. Madeleine!"
