J.K .Rowling's Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them (a Harry Potter Prequel) First of a Trilogy
From The Wrap.Com
I'm at a loss for words. That's strange because I am usually verbose. I was dumbfounded by the special effects and the story. I love the cliff hanger and I can't wait for the second installment. I honestly haven't read the book, so I cannot say if I like the movie better or not. All I know is that I love it! I'll try to think of comments and I would put them beside the name of each cast member.
I want to congratulate the whole team, most especially James Newton Howard for the background music that bring out all types of emotions; Philippe Rousselot for the awesome cinematography; Mark Day for the almost seamless, if not seamless editing and David Yates for a great directorial "job".

The year is 1926, and Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) has just completed a global excursion to find and document an extraordinary array of magical creatures. Arriving in New York for a brief stopover, he might have come and gone without incident, were it not for a No-Maj (American for Muggle) named Jacob, a misplaced magical case, and the escape of some of Newt's fantastic beasts, which could spell trouble for both the wizarding and No-Maj worlds- WWW
Premier Night
FROM WIKIPEDIA:
- Eddie Redmayne as Newt Scamander:An eccentric, introverted wizard and an employee at the Ministry of Magic. Scamander is the future author of the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry standard textbook, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. (Eddie Redmayne, you definitely are NEWT SCAMANDER. You were born to be him.)
- Katherine Waterston as Porpentina "Tina" Goldstein: A down-to-earth and grounded witch and former Auror working for the Magical Congress of the United States of America (MACUSA), who longs to fight for what's right but is forced to work in an office well below her skill level. (Katherine, I love your depiction of Tina)
- Dan Fogler as Jacob Kowalski: A newly single No-Maj factory worker and aspiring baker who is exposed to the New York City magical community after he meets Newt. (Awww, you made Jacob so lovable...no wonder Queenie loves him)
- Alison Sudol as Queenie Goldstein: Porpentina's younger sister and roommate, described as a bombshell, free-spirited and big-hearted, and is accomplished in Legilimency. (Although I know a lot intelligent blondes, you gals have this reputation that you are bimbos so you're one proof that "buzz" isn't true...you played Queenie well, Alison)
- Colin Farrell as Percival Graves: A high-ranking Auror and the Director of Magical Security for M.A.C.U.S.A., who is in charge of the protection of wizards and set with the task of tracking down Newt. Dangerous dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald has been missing since his three-way duel with brothers Albus and Aberforth Dumbledore, which ended in the death of their sister Ariana. Grindelwald went underground continuing to study the dark arts, while working his way to rise to power. After an ensuing battle with Scamander and Credence Barebone, the former cast a spell which revealed his true identity to be Gellert Grindelwald mascarading and assuming the identity of Graves, through means of polyjuice potion. (Your acting is impeccable)
- Johnny Depp as Gellert Grindelwald: After being revealed by Scamander, his façade fades away and his real identity is revealed. Grindelwald is a dark wizard who is one of the most dangerous wizards of all-time, second only to Lord Voldemort, who was a very close friend to Albus Dumbledore in their youth. (I'm so excited about seeing more of you in part 2...I don't need to give you accolades. You already know how great you are. <3 <3 <3 <3 <3)
- Carmen Ejogo as President Seraphina Picquery: The President of MACUSA. (All I can say is that you are a gorgeous person with a commanding presence)
- Ezra Miller as Credence Barebone:[Mary Lou's troubled and mysterious adopted son. (Speechless! Well, almost. You did great. Seamless acting!)
- Samantha Morton as Mary Lou Barebone: A narrow-minded No-Maj and the sinister leader of the New Salem Philanthropic Society (the NSPS, or "The Second-Salemers"), an extremist group whose goals include exposing and killing wizards and witches. (You were so good that I wanted to throw my shoes at you)
- Ron Perlman as Gnarlack: A goblin gangster who owns a speakeasy nightclub, and comes across Newt. (I didn't even know that was you, but you did well)
- Jon Voight as Henry Shaw, Sr.: The father of US senator Henry Shaw, Jr. and Langdon Shaw. (You can play any role, and you didn't disappoint)
- Josh Cowdery as Henry Shaw, Jr.: A US senator who holds a rally picketed by the New Salem Philanthropic Society. (OK, you did the role of an A-hole perfectly!)
- Ronan Raftery as Langdon Shaw: The youngest of Henry Shaw, Sr.'s sons who begins to believe in magic. (I think like Johnny Depp you will have bigger exposure in the second installment)
- Faith Wood-Blagrove as Modesty Barebone:A haunted young girl with the ability to see deep into people, who has an inner strength and stillness, also the youngest of Mary Lou's adopted children. (You were great my dear. I am sure you are going to be star)
- Jenn Murray as Chastity Barebone: The eldest of May Lou's adopted children (You did OK)
- Zoë Kravitz as Leta Lestrange: The former love of Scamander while the two attended Hogwarts. Lestrange betrayed his trust, leaving him bitter about her; but he still keeps a picture of her. ( :-D Go ZK. No role is big or small for you. )
