You to me are everything (2010)

( Source ) To publish or not to publish, that is the question. Dingdong Dantes's character, Rafael Iñigo Benitez III, is one person I could relate to. Some years back my dad and his colleagues were...let's just use the term "sued"...by the Sandiganbayan...I can't speak for everyone, but it's because dad was in one of the highest positions in his work place, and he signed certain vouchers that he wasn't supposed to because in his mind, others already signed and that they were sensible people. Anyways, I can't really expound about it, but as I watched Rafael go down in the dumps, I wondered what would happen to my very loving father whom I love and respect so much. Earlier on, he could have squandered billions, but he didn't.  He could have given us the world, but he didn't.  He could have done a lot of things, but didn't have the heart to.  I know there's no big or small thing when it comes to cases like this one.  What&#

The Book of Eli (2010)

Thirty years after war turned the world into a wasteland, a lone warrior named Eli (Denzel Washington) marches across the ruined landscape, carrying hope for humanity's redemption. Only one other man (Gary Oldman) understands the power of what Eli carries, and he is determined to take it for himself. Though Eli prefers peace, he will risk death to protect his precious cargo, for he must fulfill his destiny to help restore mankind.-WWW #dystopia To be honest I did not want to watch this movie because the trailer looked so depressing. My curiosity was stirred up a bit when some of my friends mentioned that they love the powerful message of the story. They all warned me that it would be dragging at first, but it was a good movie to watch. We take things for granted. Right now we have so much to thank for, but what do we do about it?  As early as now we should learn how to care for our environment and praise God from Whom all blessings flow. Eli(DENZEL WASHINGTON), the cen

The Hurt Locker(2008)

It took a while before this movie reached our shores. This was shown first in October last year for a short time, then it was released again this month after The 82nd  Academy Awards.  I don't know if there's a deeper story behind it.  Normally, I would check, but I don't think I'll bother.   Let me just talk about what I think instead. I like the team up of Kathryn Bigelow and Mark Boal. The story was very moving and the direction was superb.  It made me seem to experience war first hand and I know deep in my heart that I wouldn't want to experience it for real .  My heart was torn to pieces several times.  There were people I wanted to save and when one of them practically exploded, I felt like dying too. The Iraq war is one of the biggest mistakes in the world.  Hey, I'm just making a comment and I don't want to wage war against anyone, but I hope it never happened.  War is really stupid! A lot of innocents become casualties.  Sometimes, ther

Alice in Wonderland (2010)

This is short and simple. I felt sad and disappointed while watching this dark version...grossed out on the ingredients the White Queen (Anne Hathaway) used...but I love Johnny Depp, the Cheshire Cat and the other special effects...I also like the philosophical message...Like some of my group mates said,"... it's good, not great!"  My friend, K, who watched it in 3D liked it much, much better than I did.   Alice in Wonderland 2010 Film Alice in Wonderland is a 2010 American computer-animated and live action fantasy film directed by Tim Burton, written by Linda Woolverton, and released by Walt Disney Pictures.  Wikipedia Initial release :  March 5, 2010 ( USA ) Director :  Tim Burton Screenplay :  Linda Woolverton Characters :  The Hatter ,  Alice ,  Cheshire Cat ,  White Rabbit ,  More Adapted from :  Alice's Adventures in Wonderland ,  Through the Looking-Glass
