In support for Manresa 1987's Stand Up For Life (Taken during our pre movie dinner at Santouka Hokkaido Ramen, ATC) Tris must escape with Four and go beyond the wall enclosing Chicago. For the first time ever, they will leave the only city and family they have ever known in order to find a peaceful solution for their embroiled city. Once outside, old discoveries are quickly rendered meaningless with the revelation of shocking new truths. Thankfully, in my opinion, this is 3/4 faithful to the book.  Almost everything that happened in the movie is how I imagined it to be.  Sure, there were some changes for cinematic purposes, but some of them were forgivable. Shailene Woodley, nowadays, looks more glamorous and beautiful, but here, since she plays sixteen-year-old Tris, she looks a little bit plainer than usual, so she was overshadowed, at least physically, by the handsome Theo James. Some people were comparing this to THE HUNGER GAMES, but I believe that the only thing similar about them is their being dystopic and post-apocalyptic. Other than that, the stories and the twists are totally different.   If people were to ask me what story I like better, I would choose Veronica Roth's trilogy over Suzanne Collins' best sellers, even if I like both sets.
