Watching an old DVD: Eternity (2006)

Google images The theme song Story by Mark Reyes Directed by Mark A. Reyes D.G.P.I. Screenplay by Gina Marissa Tagasa-Gil A few days ago I reposted an old thing I have written about Moments of Love .  There was something about the year Moments of Love was shown. I pondered and pondered then I checked the movies I have seen that year. I wasn't able to check everything.  I did not need to for I saw it almost immediately: ETERNITY.  This was shown months after Moments of Love. Both movies tackled about the past and the present, but Eternity is about reincarnation and Moments of Love isn't. The movie showed the present and the past intermittently.  There were moments when I thought it was like DEAD AGAIN . Nora Roberts' MIDNIGHT BAYOU  was shown three years later, so I couldn't have compared this with that movie when I watched it the first time. Anyways, if you have not seen Eternity, then I wouldn't say if I was right in comparing ...

Bernal Director #DivineIntervention This is a movie I watched a total of three times, and I would probably watch it again. Why?  There are many reasons.  One of them is because  I am my daddy's girl.  Since he is not in the best of health,  and I know I am just counting the days when the inevitable would happen,  the scenes betwe...

TALK BACK AND YOU'RE DEAD (2014) #TBYD

Alabang Town Center Cinema 4 Facebook Page Talk Back And You're Dead is the first installment of the Talk Back Trilogy of  Alesana Marie  originally published in WATTPAD, but can now be bought at any of the National Bookstore or Power Books Branches Nationwide.  It revolves around childhood sweethearts Timmy and Sammy, their friends, family and other people close to them. Although it is also a movie about school gangsters, it is very, very different from SHE'S DATING A GANGSTER .  For me, this story is very reminiscent of the kind of movies Sharon Cuneta and Gabby Concepcion did during their teenage years, most especially the ones produced by Viva Films, but different. The helicopters, the large estates, rich feuding families, fixed marriages, etc.   The movie version is written by Keiko Aquino and directed by Andoy Ranay ( Trophy Wife ).  I think I am getting fond of this team.  People still found flaws, but hey.  ...

You to me are everything (2010)

( Source ) To publish or not to publish, that is the question. Dingdong Dantes's character, Rafael Iñigo Benitez III, is one person I could relate to. Some years back my dad and his colleagues were...let's just use the term "sued"...by the Sandiganbayan...I can't speak for everyone, but it's because dad was in one of the highest positions in his work place, and he signed certain vouchers that he wasn't supposed to because in his mind, others already signed and that they were sensible people. Anyways, I can't really expound about it, but as I watched Rafael go down in the dumps, I wondered what would happen to my very loving father whom I love and respect so much. Earlier on, he could have squandered billions, but he didn't.  He could have given us the world, but he didn't.  He could have done a lot of things, but didn't have the heart to.  I know there's no big or small thing when it comes to cases like this one.  What...
