The Story of Us (2019)

Image
Directed by Scott Smith Story by Deborah Jones Teleplay by Tracy Andreen Not a lot of people would agree with me, but TRACY ANDREEN made an old story look interesting.  I had a good feeling when the movie ended, so why should I say otherwise?  People were kind to MAGGIE LAWSON, but people were mean to SAM PAGE. Why?   They don't see chemistry?  Well, I do. Maybe it's not as lovey-dovey like the other stories or as mushy, but this time I welcomed the gradual process of getting back together after being separated for a long time, like PRINCESS BRIDE , and PERSUASION , two books that talked about in this movie. Yes, the story is formulaic.  I know, I know, I get tired of the same old story too, but it's sort of different.   Come on. When we watch movies, as long as they are not plagiarised, don't we sometimes say, "Did someone research about me?" So you check the name of the author, but you don't know him or her from Adam. My Favorite Wedding (2017)

Paul Greene and Maggie Lawson were married for sixteen years, and they have a son named Oliver.  Oliver uses his father's surname.  Maggie married Benjamin Koldyke in 2015, but they have been divorced since 2017.  I don't know if Maggie and Paul are back together.  They have managed to have this info not included in their imdb profiles, so maybe they want some privacy. According to Paul Greene's Bio , he and Maggie are married, and the site was modified last December 23, 2018.  So if that is correct, then they became an item again after this made for TV movie. The first ten minutes was like watching someone play dual roles in a play...someone even compared Maggie's role, Dr. Tess Harper,  to Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde because suddenly the very caring doctor who puts everyone ahead before her needs became someone who didn't even offer to tow one of her trolleys.  Even if she thought he was the chauffeur, she should have been kind enough to lug one ...

Christmas Encore(2017)

Following years of bit parts and near-misses, aspiring New York actress Charlotte Lacy, is about to throw in the towel and move to Chicago to take a real job when she lands the lead in a new production of A Christmas Carol. She nails the part and finds unexpected romance with her director, TV star Julian Walker, along with a renewed passion for her craft and the city. But when the historic theater loses its lease and the show is set to fold before it even opens, Charlotte and her cast mates find themselves in need of a Christmas miracle . Starring  Maggie Lawson   and   Brennan Elliott .- THE HALLMARK CHANNEL Kinikilig ako! Kinikilig ako! That's the effect the movie has on me.  At first I was saying, "Maggie Lawson is beautiful, but her voice is too squeaky."  A few minutes later, I like her already. Then when the leading man entered the scene I said to myself, "Why him?" Then I saw and felt the magic when the two of them were together....
