Crazy Beautiful YOU (2015)

Image
Sometimes, though we don't expect to find love, it's the one that finds us. In "Crazy Beautiful You," we are introduced to Jackie (Kathryn Bernardo), whose rebellious spirit forces her mother (Lorna Tolentino) to take her in a medical mission in Tarlac in hopes that she'd turn for the better. There, Jackie meets a jolly lad named Kiko (Daniel Padilla), who will make sure she gets all her tasks done. In the middle of his mission, he and Jackie will discover something crazy... and beautiful. Directed by Mae Cruz-Alviar ("She's the One," "Bride for Rent," "Past Tense"), "Crazy Beautiful You" also stars Gabby Concepcion and Iñigo Pascual.--- Words from   Star Cinema CRAZY BEAUTIFUL YOU is a team effort because EVERYONE did great(from the story, direction, acting...everything), yes, but I am glad to report  to you, my readers, that in my opinion , this is the best KathNiel team-up...so far. The ...

Diary ng Panget (Movie, PG) 2014 #DNP

https://www.facebook.com/DiaryNgPangetMovie2014 THE TRAILER We did not have plans of watching this film.  Yes, we weren't looking forward to it.  We did not even know that versatile performers like Candy Pangilian, Mitch Valdez and Gabby Concepcion were included in the supporting cast.  It just so happened that my parents are senior citizens of the City of Parañaque and were a little bored yesterday afternoon.  It was a Tuesday and they could avail of any of the "free for seniors" movie in any SM Cinema in the  City of Parañaque (Bicutan, Sucat and SM City BF  Parañaque). They've seen everything so they were forced to watch DIARY NG PANGET.  I, of course, did not mind. While the credits were shown, I saw the names of aforementioned actors, Andoy Ranay(a very respectable director) and Tara Illenberger(someone I admire greatly for her work).   "Dada, respectable people are behind this film. Don't worry. Who knows? You mi...

When The Love Is Gone (Graded A by the Film Ratings Board) R-13 Romance/Drama- 2013

Image
Official Trailer When I heard Alice Dixson utter the classic infamous line, "Nandiyan ba ang asawa ko, na asawa mo, na asawa ng buong bayan?" in the trailer of WHEN THE LOVE HAS GONE,  I said to myself, "Wait, I've heard that line before!" Or something to that effect.  I was not wrong.  Something similar to those lines were uttered by Laurice Guillen as Delza in NAGALIT ANG BUWAN SA HABA NG GABI (click to read the story written and directed by Danny L. Zialcita...Since the blogger doesn't know the name of the actor who played Antonio Almeda aka UP Boy, I'll tell you that his name is Tommy Alvarado)---more below Alice Dixson, Gabby Concepcion, Cristine Reyes, Andi Eigenmann and Jake Cuenca Source Except for the very long title(in terms of syllables), the movie this one was based on, is very beautiful.  When Janice de Belen played the role of Jenny, I felt her pain...her agony. All of the members of cast f...

Avatar, the MMFF 2009 movies I watched, and other stuff

Source   Before I start I just wanna say I had fun having brunch with one of my good friends, Marga K.Manlapig. I met Marga aka Midge through Father Didoy last 2006 when thinkdiocese.org was still existing.  Now, the official website of the Diocese of Paranaque is  http://dop.ph .  We're not "webmasters"/administrators or contributors there anymore (I'm more active here in the Vicariate), but our friendship has grown stronger.  Marga aka Midge, is Father Jeff's older sister.   He was supposed to come, but he was too sleepy.   =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= I'm also blessed to have seen AVATAR twice (once with my bro and the other time with my childhood BFF, Annette) .    Even if it is not really a Christian movie (it's something Christianity abhors called  PANTHEISM ), the power of the Na'vi's united prayer is really admirable.  They are also ...
