From Google Images The movie is based on the novel CUPID and DIANA by Christina Bartolomeo It stars Mary-Louise Parker and Peter Gallagher Directed by Brent Shields Written for the screen by Ron Raley and Jennifer Miller At first glance this movie is very shallow.  It has all the ingredients of a normal  movie.  One of the protagonists is in a very boring situation, which was comfortable, until that person meets the very exciting replacement.  It's so Mills & Boon or Harlequin or Silhouette novel type a story.  The book is actually wilder than the movie, but this movie has a few surprises the book didn't offer. As a Daddy's girl who still loves her mother, I couldn't relate with Cate's situation with her dad, but I could relate with her relationship with both men in her life. Just when she thought everything was coming up roses, she discovers the many, many thorns attached to the roses stems. It becomes a bit heavy, but event...

Sigh. I guess I'm just so cheesy. I'm such a sucker for this movie because I think I've seen this more than fifty times and I still get giddy and excited.  Being in love with love makes me feel like I'm high above the clouds.  Bill Pullman during his prime surely melted a lady's heart.  The story of Jack and Lucy is truly unforgettable.  Jack's family is also one of the best there is.  I can watch this over and over and over and over and over again.  It's not a thinkers' movie, OK? I love watching movies with complicated dance steps.  I've even collected almost all of the great dance hits from Charlie Chaplin to modern times. Yes, I've donated most of them already, but the classics would forever be embedded in my heart. Of the modern ones CENTER STAGE is one of my favorites.  From the story, to the dance steps, to the choice of actors, treatment and all that, Center Stage is like embodiment of my dreams as a young girl. At the age of fifteen, I knew I was never going to be a prima ballerina, so I focused on jazz.   I started boating on two streams at eleven, so I had to make a choice.  I stopped dancing jazz at 21.
