Jack Em Popoy: The Puliscredibles (2018)

Image
From Google Images #TaglishBlogEntry JACK EM POPOY is a big pleasant surprise for me. Isa na yata ito sa pinakamangandang nagawa na pelikula ni VIC SOTTO, at nakadagdag ang pagsali nina COCO MARTIN, MAINE MENDOZA, RONALDO VALDEZ, CHERRY PIE PICACHE, BAEBY BASTE, ARJO ATAYDE, RYZA CENON, RYZZA MAE DIZON, JOSE MANALO, WALLY BAYOLA, PAOLO BALLESTEROS, CHAI FONACIER, TIRSO CRUZ III, MARK LAPID, LITO LAPID at marami pang iba. Muntink ko na itong hindi panoorin.  Akala ko puro kalokohan lang. Thankfully, I was mistaken.  The movie is well-written, well-acted, and well-directed.   It is also very current and very relevant. Maybe it's not the best movie in the world, but it surely is not a waste of time watching this movie.  There were a few questionable things with regards to morality, and I'm not talking about the scenes about drugs, or crime in general, because that's a given.  It's just that here were some decisions and words used that a good per...

Paglipad Ng Anghel/Flight of An Angel (2011)

Source It's not as if Gabby is sinless.  He occasionally cusses, he drinks alcohol, he has a temper and he does get those urges like a normal human being has, but his wings just grew and grew after the old lady he helped died in the Monastery. One time, he even had sex with some conniving serpent, for her career advancement.  God looked beyond that and let him keep his wings. De La Salle University celebrated its Centennial Year with PAGLIPAD NG ANGHEL as one of its offerings.  It was beautifully made, as directed by Dr. Clodualdo Del Mundo, Jr. I really have no idea if this was released commercially, but it looked like it was done by professionals. The actors are all perfect for their respective roles and it wasn't that predictable. 🎬🎬🎬🎥🎥🎥🎬🎬🎬 Written and Directed by Dr. Clodualdo Del Mundo, Jr. CAST from imdb : Sid Lucero ... Gabby LJ Moreno ... Lucy Christian Vasquez ... Rafael Jeffrey Quizon ... Greg Borgy Torre ... Serf Chi Datu ... As...

From Wikipedia:  Feeling out place in her own home, an eccentric and socially awkward girl, Mika (Julia Barretto), decides to go on a road trip with a very strange goal – to look for aliens. In her trip, Mika accidentally bumps into a simple and good-humored boy, Caloy (Joshua Garcia), whom she chooses to give a free ride to until he reaches his destination. Mika is surprised to know that Caloy has cancer. But despite his condition, he has learned to accept his fate and remained positive and joyful. The two embark on a roadtrip filled with adventures and misadventures, not knowing that it will lead them to experiencing their most memorable romance at such a young age. They unexpectedly teach each other an important lesson on love and life – one that takes most people a lifetime to learn. PAUWI NA also known as PEDICAB (R-13) 2016

Image
The Philippines answer to MODERN FAMILY :-p   One of my favourite scenes Bembol Roco(Mang Pepe), Cherry Pie Picache(Aling Remy), Meryll Soriano(Isabel), Jerald Napoles(JP) and Chai Fonacier(Pina) Dream Sequence The title is PAUWI NA(Going Home...On the Way Home...Homeward Bound) also known as PEDICAB(pedal pushed trike).  I read some international articles think that Pauwi Na's translation is Pedicab, though they get the story. The story, though sort of presented in a lighter manner, is very profound.  It's based on an article in the early 2000s when a family due to lack of funds wanted to go home to Leyte using just a pedicab. Of course, that's quite impossible because the bridge at the edge of southern luzon does not exist...yet. Having an irreverent sort of "Jesus Christ" is nothing new, but if you listen to his advices, towards the end, even if he did sort of judged all priests, you would like this Jesus played by JESS MENDOZA .  Thankfully...
