WALKER movies than anybody else on hallmark.  He's really a good actor, and what I like most about him is his versatility.  He's not just a handsome young man.  He could surely act. His partner here, for the second time, is ARIELLE KEBBEL.  They do have some kind of magic when they are together onscreen, but for one reason or another, I think, even if the story says otherwise, there was more onscreen chemistry between her and DAVID HAYDN-JONES.  Well, that's just me.   The audience expected another predictable story, and they got one, but I liked how Georgie(Arielle's role) handled her situations.  She's not perfect, yes, but she wasn't a person who would allow anyone to trample on her, for whatever reason. Father and daughter Casey and Heather Twain own and operate Paradise Ranch, a combination working/5-star dude ranch outside of Big Sky, Montana, the dude part of the ranch which is just about to open for the season. They decide to hire actor Avery Ford for a promotional event to mark the opening, Avery the star of the "Aim to Please" series of westerns, which Casey, a once famous cowboy in his own right, loves. What the Twains have failed to tell Avery or his agent Candace is that the ranch, whose 5 stars are based solely on authenticity and not luxuries, has been losing more and more business each year, where another failing year will mean the loss of the ranch, which has been in the family for generations. The Christmas Train is one of the best stories ever written for all time, and not just about Christmas.  In MY opinion, it has an all-star cast spearheaded by DANNY GLOVER, KIMBERLY WILLIAMS-PAISLEY, JOAN CUSACK, KAREN HOLNESS, JOHN INNES, NELSON WONG, TERRENCE KELLY and JILL TEED.   I love the way TIPPI and NEAL DOBROFSKY wrote it, and how RON OLIVER directed it. The book the movie was based on #TheChristmasTrainbyDavidBaldacci I also like the chemistry Dermot Mulroney and Kimberly Williams-Paisley have.  I am not certain if this is their only movie together as screen partners, but they sure make a good onscreen pair. Dobrofsky  and Tippi Dobrofsky First things first:  In the version I saw Allie(DANICA MCKELLAR) has only one brother(ROLLO SKINNER) and one sister(ROSE NEVILLE).  The King is not named Ryland, but Maximilian(RUPERT PENRY-JONES).    Maybe it's the surname of the Royal Family, but I wouldn't know for sure. The story may not be totally new, but I love it.  It's one of the best of its kind. It may be considered a fairy tale, but at the very least I like how they met and what transpired after that meeting.
