Hidden Figures (2016) PG

  From the World Wide Web Janelle M., Taraji H and Octavia S The trailer already enticed me to watch this, but when my CPA friend, Inggie, wanted this to be a "PILE" movie date, it heightened my interest. This afternoon, to take away our minds from all our concerns, we opted to watch a movie, but this was the only movie that we all wanted to watch. Oh no...I already promised Inggie. But you know what? I wouldn't mind watching this again. It is well acted and I must say the stories of the three "Hidden Figures" are all awe-inspiring. What I couldn't figure out is why their roles in society were not really "out in the open".  How come Katherine Coleman Goble Johnson was only recognized in 2015, when she was already 97 years old?  This year, she would be ninety-nine.  Her friend, Mary , passed on in 2005 and her friend, Dorothy , passed on in 2008. Asa Butterfield as Gardner and Britt Robertson as Tulsa Photograph from teaser-trailer.com Side story: Watching this movie was unplanned.  I just felt I needed to go out of the house for a while.  No.  I didn't stay in the house all day.  As a matter of fact, I arrived home after a heavy day and decided everything before cooking dinner for my folks.   I called my Bestie and asked if she could accompany me.  I already planned to watch another movie with some other friends next week and yet another movie with my folks.  It was the "only" movie I could watch and the time was perfect...just before dinner!   Thank goodness she was free and she was interested in watching this movie.   Crazy me.   I just knew the title and the premise, but I didn't know who is in it and I call myself a researcher?  This was not the first time it happened, but somehow I wanted to watch this movie with a clean slate.   It turns out Bestie knew about the movie more than I did, b
