(The  source  has spoilers) The Griffith Observatory's Planetarium The first time I've seen this was at the Alabang Town Center, with three of my friends.   The second time, dad was so guilty (and grateful at the same time) that he disturbed my resting because he became hungry that he made me cook a late lunch(we ate brunch after mass and he said I didn't need to cook lunch).  I didn't know he saw me crying because my left side was numb. I was scared of being paralyzed, but I thought he was in the office(a room in the house).  I cooked a large fish, that he almost devoured it(he thought I was cooking because he smelled something from the neighbor's kitchen that he called me up---yes, he did, because I was upstairs...I tried to sound happy to receive his call, so he wouldn't worry about me).  Thank God, when I was able to taste a teeny portion, it was delicious.   "Let's watch a movie," he said.  "What do you want to watch?" ...

THE HELP (2011)

For people who still live as slaves even if freedom was granted ages ago, this is for you.  This is also for those who need to be taught a lesson or two and for everybody else. Emma Stone is an actor that never ceases to amaze me.  Although she is only 25 years old, she has already wowed critics, most especially in EASY A.  I am mentioning her first because in this movie she plays Eugenia "Skeeter" Phelan, a writer who gave a voice  to those people who were still being maltreated even if they were already given liberty. A friend of mine who was losing his faith in the Spider-man franchise felt good and is now very excited to watch Spider-man 3.  I have a the same sentiments.   The movie is amazing from start to finish.  I now understand why Mary Jane was not introduced in the first installment and in this current one.  It's because it's Gwen Stacy's moment .  It just wouldn't be right to ruin that moment. The special participation of Stan Lee always adds life to any Marvel Comic based movie and this is no exception. The special effects, the acting, everything...everything's great! Even the villains are exceptional.  My seven-year-old nephew even knows the drill .  He stayed until the end credits.  He's excited because the X-men and Spidey would... ;-) (I told him that maybe his guess was wrong, but he's still excited anyways) Anyways, this Spidey movie is not without flaws, but for me, it's one of the best versions ever. Do watc...
