What made me watch this movie?

Mom, dad and I just came from Festival Supermall.  We watched The Ninth Passenger, starring Jesse Metcalfe.  Jesse was the ONLY saving grace of the movie.  I'm going give a spoiler alert just to warn you all that you shouldn't waste your valuable time. Corey Large, what were you thinking???? EVERYONE died, including Brady(Jesse's role)? Why?  Why? Why?   After the movie, everyone laughed, not because it was funny, but because the movie is so silly in so many aspects.  OK, the illustrations were good. Whoever the artist is should be lauded.  We wanted to watch Billionaire Boys Club, but it was going to be available at 9:30pm. We didn't want to wait for three hours.  We've seen everything else so when I saw Jesse Metcalfe's name as one of the lead actors, I said, maybe it's something worthwhile. We should have watched Mamma Mia again.  It would be better than to watch that nonsense!  We've seen better films with the same premise.  Some of them didn't leave any survivors too, but somehow made sense.  Oh well. Anyways, dad said it wasn't a total waste of time.  There were some lessons learned besides the part that no one should play god.  Really, dad?  OK.  I'll just take your word for it.

A BRAMBLE HOUSE CHRISTMAS

Just the story I needed to lighten the mood.  Predictable? Yes, but there were many things that touched my heart.  I have lots of good friends who are caregivers who ask for nothing in return except perhaps for their regular salary.  They have good bedside manners.  Some of them are doctors, but couldn't get a license or are just waiting for the results of their exams or something.  One of them inherited a house(here in The Philippines), but the wife contested the will, so I know this type of thing really happens to a LOT of people.

Scout is so lovable and very admirable.  They picked the right young boy to portray him.  LIAM HUGHES is perfect for the role.  He probably looks like his estranged dad, because he looks nothing like Willa, his mom, played by AUTUMN REESER.

DAVID HAYDN-JONES played Finn like he was meant to be Finn...like he was born to play that role. His character evolves into an enlightened man who eventually falls in love with Willa.

JULIA BENSON was the sensible sibling named Molly at the start of the TV movie, but when Finn realised his mistake, she because the judgmental one. Julia did well...maybe not great, but she did quite well.

TERYL ROTHERY, ANDREW AIRLIE, BRUCE DAWSON, HILARY JARDINE, and LYLA MARLOW all did well.

In the book, Scout is a cancer survivor, but here, he had a heart transplant.  Finn has two sisters in the book, here, he only has Molly.

Bramble House is in Montana according to C.J. Carmichael, but here it's in Oregon.

The inheritance according to the book?  $50,000, an all-expense paid Christmas vacation at the Bramble House, and a sapphire ring.  In the movie, it's a hundred thousand dollars plus the all-expense vacation at the Bramble House.

At any rate, at least the spirit of the original story is felt in the adaptation.  It is surely worth your while.
