Portland interior designer Julia Galvins adopts a dog and seeks the help of expert and handsome dog trainer Owen Michaels. When she is hired to design a nursery and a "puppery," as well as plan a puppy shower fund-raiser for a pregnant client and her pregnant dog, Julia asks Owen's advice, and their friendship just might turn into something more.Written by Happy_Evil_Dude
When an animal chooses a human it means it's more than instinct that connects them.  There is love.

In this movie, KING chooses JULIA(Jana Kramer) and not the other way around.  There is love between them at first bark.

It is obvious that King has been adopted before because he is well-behaved inside Julia's domain. Julia, on the other hand, is a first time Fur Mother.

In between the Fur Mother and Fur Baby is Owen, the very charming trainer.  It is very obvious, at least to the viewers, that there's something there.

How did I get to watch this movie?  Oh, it's because of Julie Klam and her story about Jarhead or her autobiography about the dogs she rescued.

I wondered if this story is loosely based on Julie Klam's life...that there's a little of her in Julia and in Owen.  Owen rescues and trains dogs like Julie, and Julia is another form of Julie.  There is no mention at imdb if this is so, so maybe it's just a coincidence that the female protagonist is named Julia and the male protagonist is so like Julie.

King, though well-behaved compared to never housed pets, has his own mind, so even if at first Julia thought she didn't need Owen's services, she runs to him for help.

OK, like almost every Hallmark made for TV movies, it is predictable...there's some jealousy caused by insecurity involved, et cetera, et cetera, but I didn't regret watching this, even if this is far from the best movie ever made.
