Accidentally Engaged (2016)
Directed by Letia Clouston
Story by Elizabeth Snoderly
Teleplay by Jake Helgren
ACCIDENTALLY ENGAGED is one of the sweetest made for TV movies I have ever seen about relationships: friendships, relationships between children and parents, relationships between an agent and her talent, and a romance that was fake that became real.
Maureen McCormick, the original Marsha Brady, who was almost sixty in 2016, still looked pretty and sweet.
Joan Severance, a person who was known for her erotic mystery movies and the like during her heyday,  played the female protagonist's mother.  She's still very gorgeous.  At first I thought her role was too perky, but as the story progressed, I admired the person she played because of her.
I love all Clarissa's friends, male and female alike.  They are not perfect, because they are very, very human, but they care for each other a lot.
What about Chas and Riz?  Do they have chemistry?  Do they look like they are really in love?  Yes.  They definitely do.
Yes, I have seen many accidental engagements in the movies and real life, but I like the way this was presented.
Should they have made it for the big screen? Would it work?
Yes, but they have to tweak the script a little, but for a TV movie this is already beautiful as it is.
