First love never dies? It does not apply to all.  Maybe people would debate that maybe first crushes fade away or are erased from our memory bank, but the ones we loved first, we would always love.  Maybe they would always hold a special place in our hearts, but to say that the feeling would never die is not always true.

In the case of Maddie and Nate(the film version---judging from the Google Books summary, there's some difference between the book and the Hallmark Channel movie, but I have yet to read the book---so I could just talk about the reel couple), it is obvious that they are still in love with each other.  Time and distance never set their hearts apart, but of course there are some snags and hurdles they have to overcome first.

Maddie is so relatable.

Honestly, I watched this again hours after the first time and there were things I didn't notice at first.  When Maddie said four of those seven years were long distance, I thought it took fourteen years before they saw each other after their last night at the Shores of Indian Lake, but they just talked on the phone or emailed each other or wrote snail mail.  Apparently, they did see each other ten years prior and maybe their big breakup did happen face to face.  #stalkerphotographers

It's just weird because they were supposed to be alone that last night together, but they have sweet photographs together.  The other photographs could have been taken by Maddie's best friend or something, but their last night together?  Did not look like selfies to me.

If it were a prenup shot, it would be understandable.

Anyways, who cares, right?

Nate and Maddie look good together, even if Chris McNally, as one other viewer noticed, was a bit stiff.  Still, their chemistry, Chris and Julie's, cannot be denied.

Alex wasn't much of a challenge for Nate.  If there are some issues, it's actually between him and Maddie.

I don't know if the book tackled it quite differently.

Maybe I should go to the nearest bookstore to find out if Alex made Maddie confused even just a teensy bit.

Oh, and may I just add that I also agree with that aforementioned reviewer that Andrea Brooks, the lovely girl who played Chloe, should get a lead role soon?  Yes, I believe she should.

Another thing, I think it's amazing that Steven R. Monroe directed this romantic flick.  He has been in the romantic scene for a long time now, but earlier on, He was known for movies like I SPIT ON YOUR GRAVE 1 & 2, THE MONGOLIAN DEATH WORM, THE CONTRACT, DUAL, GRAVE HALLOWEEN, HOUSE OF 9, LEFT IN DARKNESS, and THE EXORCISM OF MOLLY HARTLEY

I don't know if he's happy, but he has made a lot of happy by directing all those uplifting films and rom-coms as well.

Need I say more?

I guess that's it.

Thanks for your time.
