These blog entries are MOSTLY just how I felt after watching the play, musical, concert or TV show, a product I like or things I have read. If I have not at least one good thing to say, then you wouldn't see anything written about it here. Oh, btw, I would seldom(not never) write about blockbusters even if I love them starting today(26 June 2019) just because. :-)

If you have been reading my stuff I guess you would know by now how much I love watching movies with horses. Whether it's about Zorro, The Lone Ranger, Flicka or whatever movies or TV shows with equines with it, I usually love it, with some exceptions, of course. If you're wondering if I'm an equestrienne, I am far from it. I have no form whatsoever when riding, and the last time I rode was ages ago, so it's not because I could relate to it, but because horses are beautiful creatures, and I love watching them.
Add to that the presence of Dean Cain as Cathy's dad. As I've mentioned before, I had an unhealthy crush on Dean Cain when he was Clark Kent/Superman. Thank goodness, I'm way past that foolishness already, and my crushes with people from showbiz or any industry are now just very, very, very harmless.
Horse Camp hits a lot of soft spots and pulls a lot of heartstrings. Sometimes we get what we wish for, but we forget who helped us achieve that wish.
During my Freshman Year in High School there was this girl who was the heiress of a province based bus line who was very nice to me. We really hit it off, but when the people who mattered started noticing me, I dropped her like a hot potato. The following year, she was nowhere to be found. I wonder if I had anything to do with it. I hope not.
Cathy(Jordan Trovillion) hated the way she looks. Her self-esteem was down to drain too many seasons ago. Sometimes she feels invisible even to her parents because they argue in front of her as if she weren't there.
Her parents are just over protective, that's all. Thankfully, they allowed her to join the Horse Camp at The Black River Farm and Ranch.
In the camp she meets Liza(Rachel Sowers), a girl who has all the aspects of a true best friend. She helped boost her self esteem by teaching her how to apply the proper makeup to enhance her beauty, giving her pep talks, and she even purchased new tops for her. The problem is, when she finally got noticed, she became even meaner than the meanest girl in camp, even dropping like a hot potato the best friend anyone would wish for.
No matter how idealistic you are, and even if you were brought up right, sometimes, when you get what you wish for, you forget how got it in the first place. You start forgetting what matters then start becoming an airhead, even if you promised the universe that you'd never be like that.
The Black River Farm and Ranch is a real place where little girls and teenagers have the best summer of their lives. If I knew about this back then, I would have nudged my Dada to let me enjoy my summer then. I probably would have been an equestrienne, yada, yada, yada. This story may be true or not, but it is very relatable.
You might say the story is a bit cliché-ish, but hey, if people could relate to Sci-fi and fantasy flicks, then one could relate to stories like this one.
Barbie and Her "Kens" (A Dollywood Title) #TeamYuan #KenBie My bubble was burst when the last scene after the credits was shown. JEYA (Jai, Ethan, Yuan and Andoy) just woke up from a heavy night and they were wondering what happened then in big bold letters this was shown on the TV screen: Ano nga ba? SOON! Ngarks. I was already very happy that BARBIE (Forteza as Billie Bendiola) and KEN (Chan as Yuan Lee or Lee Yuan) ended up together. I even shouted it out via FB(viewed by Friends of Friends) then as I was enjoying the after credits scenes, the very last one was that messy pool scene. Everything was just a dream! Come on! I know it's fiction, but to play with our emotions like that? That is such BS. If I only knew that they'd do that, I would've finished Father Rio's send off party. :-p It's different when people wake up from a nightmare, but my goolai. Why did they have to make it a dream? If they want Barbie(a...
How do I describe this movie without giving spoilers? Hmm. Let me think. Ah, I think I know how. Directed by Gino M. Santos Written by Jeff Stelton and Keiko Aquino Loosely based on or inspired by the Wattpad sensation by youramnesiagirl of the same title, is a story of finding your self worth and about living. It's also about relationships not of the romantic kind and about responsibility. This movie is NOT all about sex. There's more to it than that . It also doesn't stereotype med reps and doctors. Things like these happen whatever profession or non-profession you are in, and even if there are people like that in real life, we must believe that there are more people who live life with integrity(listen to Carmi Martin's lines somewhere in the movie), so please don't be scared to watch this. This movie is about loving, losing, sacrificing, being selfless et cetera, et ce...
A WOMAN OF SUBSTANCE (1985) Honestly, since I remembered the many hours I watched this mini series as a teenager, I just opted to read some cliff notes of the book and the mini series to remind me of it...of them. I remember the other parts so well, but the other parts are so vague. Since I just recently watched HOLD THE DREAM and TO BE THE BEST , my conclusion is that if you love someone, don't let decades pass and wait for your sunset years to let them know how much you love them. A lot of people are not as fortunate to reach their sunset years, and if you die before that, that means you would have had forever held your peace. That's the case of Blackie O'Neill played in this mini series by LIAM NEESON, who also plays the older Blackie opposite Deborah Kerr. (I wrote the ones below before this one) The problem with book series or sequels is that you fall in love with the characters and have a light feeling after the book ends only to find out that love ...
