A Change of Place (1994)/Hard to Forget (1998) Both made for TV movies

Image
Set in the fashion houses of Paris, a successful model persuades her bookish twin sister to change places with her on the catwalk. Things become complicated in their elaborate lie when the academic sister falls in love with the debonair troubleshooter of the fashion house. She risks exposing her sister's secret if she continues her romance, or must give up her lover forever. Initial release: 9 October 1994 (USA) Director: Donna Deitch Producer: Peter Bray Screenplay: Jim Henshaw, Rosemary Anne Sisson Music composed by: Carl Lenox, Brent Barkman Both stories I am sharing with you today are two stories about twins.  Usually I save the best for last when I share about two or three movies in one blog entry, but this time, I am going to write about what I like better first.  I had to debate with myself if I should share what I thought of the second story.  I must say it took a while before I shared it.  I had to be in a state of grace first before doing so...

Not in any particular order.  These are the stories that livened up my July: 1) A CHRISTMAS DETOUR; 2)OPERATION CHRISTMAS(I could relate to this most, but this is not necessarily my favourite among the four); 3) CHARMING CHRISTMAS; AND 4) MARRY ME AT CHRISTMAS Two New York City-bound travelers find themselves inextricably linked when a snowstorm reroutes them to an airport hotel in Buffalo. Ever the eternal optimist and hopeless romantic, Paige desperately needs to find a way back home to meet her fiancé’s parents before her forthcoming wedding. And it’s somehow up to fellow passenger Dylan MacKenzie, who is permanently soured on romance following a recent heartbreak. Yet Dylan somehow rises to the occasion to become Paige’s chivalrous helpmate. The pair are joined on this misadventure by an older couple named Frank and Maxine trying to get to Connecticut. As their madcap journey ensues, our foursome will find plenty of surprises in store. - The Hallmark Channel Th...

As Grene delves deeper into Roseanne's past, we see her as a young woman, whose charisma proves seductive. Christmasland (2015)/ The Christmas Secret (2014)

Image
This is not really a review.  It's a blog entry about how I related to these two Christmas movies that touched my heart. After inheriting a 206 acre Christmas tree farm, a woman's plans to sell it change when she falls in love with the townspeople and meets a charming lawyer named Tucker. Director: Sam Irvin Writers: Daisy MacLean , Robin Archer and Jay Cipriani Casting By  Dean E. Fronk Jeff Johnson Donald Paul Pemrick In 1997 I learned that the Santa's Village at Lake Arrowhead was going to close.  I felt really sad about this.  Years later I wondered if it was still open.  I was directed to the Sky Park, so I guess in a way it's still open, right?  So I did more digging and found out that it did close in March 1998, but some people were kind enough to buy it in 2014, restored it, added more attractions, etc.  It has been fully operational for almost two years now, and I hope and pray I would get to visit it one day...
