SOLO: A Star Wars Story (2018) Real title: Chewie 😆

Young Han Solo finds adventure when he joins a gang of galactic smugglers, including a 196-year-old Wookie named Chewbacca. Indebted to the gangster Dryden Vos, the crew devises a daring plan to travel to the mining planet Kessel to steal a batch of valuable coaxium. In need of a fast ship, Solo meets Lando Calrissian, the suave owner of the perfect vessel for the dangerous mission -- the Millennium Falcon.  -WWW

Screenplay by Jonathan Kasdan and Lawrence Kasdan (George Lucas's cowriter in Episode 5(The Empire Strikes Back) and 6(Return of the Jedi). He also wrote Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire, a video game and The Force Awakens)

Directed by Ron Howard
Music by John Williams and John Powell

A lot of people would agree with me.  This movie should have been called Chewie: A Star Wars story instead.  At any rate, as approved by the great Harrison Ford, Alden Ehrenreich did not disappoint anyway.

There is nothing wrong with the screenplay, the acting is good and so much more, but somehow, in the "grand" scheme of...well, the movie...it sort of lacked oomph.  There were many dragging parts that made a lot of viewers sleepy in some parts, but towards the end, I still applauded because I liked the cliff hanger and the movie is not really a disaster like what the critics said.  It's not super exciting, but it does hold promise that the next two episodes would be more exciting.  One could only hope.

I won't give spoilers except for the fact that there is no teaser after the credits, so don't waste your time, but there are easter eggs and surprises here and there.

Also, I think I should warn parents that this isn't a G rated film.  You could still bring your small kids, but be ready to guide them.  There are still killings, etc.

I think that's about it.
