INSTRUMENT OF WAR (2017)

When U.S. B-24 bomber pilot Clair Cline is shot down and captured in northern Germany, one war ends and another begins -- to keep hope alive. Now behind Nazi barbed wire and oppression, Cline and his fellow POW's must find a way to bond together to not just survive but transcend their captivity. Inspired by true events.- From imdb

Funny.  I was looking for something light to lift my spirits up. Instead, I found this disguised as a Hallmark Romance Movie.  It was not light at all, but at least I learned about the famous Prison Camp Violin made by Prisoner of War, Clair Cline.

I am very grateful to Isabel for uploading it because the movie is really very beautiful.

Facing the enemy, the other side tends to be fierce and heartless, but the truth is, they are as broken as the people they have held captive. No one is the true winner.  Nobody is the "good guy".

Heavy as the story may be, it is very victorious.  The central character, Clair Cline, was able to go home to his wife and the violin created in Stalag Luft is currently displayed at the World War II Museum in New York.  Occasionally, it is played by famous musicians.
