This is not the first story where the father who is a widower falls in love with the nanny taking great care of his kids. Old movies and TV shows have had topics like this one, and I know a few people who fell in love in real life.
Among the reel stories, this is one of the most beautiful and most serious of them all.
Although not all the time, more often than not, the story starts with uber creative bratty kids who eventually grow in love with the nanny, and the nanny loves them in return.
Here, one kid in elementary school, and a teenage girl.
Before the nanny in this movie gets into the picture, for almost three whole years after the kids' mother passed on, different nannies experienced all the pranks these two brilliant minds thought of. When she came along, she still experienced everything they experienced, but she needed the job, so she stayed. Nothing they did make her lose her composure. Eventually the young boy loved her...and of course, the almost so predictable part here, because it's kind of the selling point of the story, the dad grows in love with her too.
The story of the teenage girl is much deeper, but it something the nanny experienced too. She could have just told her, but never had the chance to.
Anyways, I'm not giving the whole story away.
There were many heartstrings pulled, and I've wiped a deluge of tears, but not to worry, there are light and beautiful moments too. It's surely worth your while.

This second story starts with bratty kids too, but the story is much, much lighter. The roles are reversed, but this is more unconventional than the others. It's not the first story, and definitely not the last, where the guy is the nanny, and the woman is the boss, except that in this story, the guy and the lady have a history. Besides that, the guy is not destitute. He probably is much richer than mother of the kids, but because of something that would benefit a lot of people...or in other words, for the greater good, he made a bet with his billionaire father, and if he pulls through, his BIG project at the Marina wouldn't push through.
I enjoyed watching this movie. Besides gawking at a couple of handsome men(LOCHLYN MUNRO and DAN PAYNE) in admiration, one of my favourite female leads(I honestly believe she didn't talk that way when she was in Knots Landing), NICOLLETTE SHERIDAN, is the widow with bratty, but adorable kids filled so much talent(what a combination) played by GENEA CHARPENTIER, and KIEFER O'REILLY.
