Left Behind (2014) and Left Behind (2000)

Image
The story of both films are based on the novel that started the series: This is the front cover art for the book  Left Behind  written by  Tim LaHaye  and  Jerry B. Jenkins . The book cover art copyright is believed to belong to  Tyndale House Publishers . Intro: Just recently, while looking at the sky, something magnificent happened, and you'd probably say I was imagining things, but two groups of clouds shaped like people with silver linings looked like they were talking to each other.  They looked like majestic beings and on top of them looked like a big face of Jesus, with hosts of angels. Imagination or not, it was enough for ME not to sin ever again, but *I* did, just seconds after that. What a waste.  Minutes later, I was crying buckets... Anyways, why am I sharing this? With everything happening in the world right now, I couldn't help, but wonder, if Rapture already happened.  What if I was left behind?  Imagine, I was  gifted  with a vision like that,

Vic Facultad and Weather The Roots

( source ) 1 Mayflower St, Greenfield District, Mandaluyong, 1554 Metro Manila iTunes Preview You can listen to them on Spotify too Vic Facultad and Weather the Roots' songs are not just danceable, they are also easy to listen to, and the lyrics are all well thought of, and not just some mumbo jumbo mixture of words. The English songs, if I didn't know better, sound like a Foreign band, and I don't mean to say that our local bands are no good.  I just mean that their sound has global quality. The ones sang in the vernacular, even if it's in reggae fusion, pulls a lot of heartstrings.  May hugot, kumbaga.   Well, if you're not up to dramatic interludes, just listen to the upbeat sound and dance to their music, and imagine yourself flying to the nearest star outside our solar system. So if ever you're wondering what happened to Vic Facultad, he's back with a vengeance . Go catch them tomorrow at the Mayflower Parking Lot, Gre

An Interview With God (2018)

Image
Director: Perry Lang Writer: Ken Aguado Giving Films I feel crazy.  I watched this with my folks not knowing who the stars are, and if the person to be interviewed by the journalist "claiming to be God" was a terrorist or something.  It was the only thing  we haven't seen besides Halloween, which we would never watch. When the movie started we learned that GIVING FILMS  was one of the producers/ distributors, and that meant that this movie was made for promulgation of the faith.  Giving Films is a non-profit organization. Oh, while we were looking at the cast(when we reached the cinema area of Alabang Town Center), of course we recognized DAVID STRATHAIRN's name. He's a man who played all types of roles, from the kindest to the vilest. BRENTON THWAITES is also no stranger to us.  We have seen him in many movies like GOD'S OF EGYPT(I watched this primarily because of Gerard Butler, but I didn't blog about this), MALEFICENT , PIRA

Candles on Bay Street (2006)

My candle burns at both ends;    It will not last the night; But ah, my foes, and oh, my friends—    It gives a lovely light! - Edna St. Vincent Millay from "Figs from Thistles: First Fig" ( source ) Eion Bailey, Annabeth Gish, Alicia Silverstone and Matthew Knight Directed by  John Erman Written by (WGA)   Jonathan Estrin ... (teleplay) and Michael Bortman ... (teleplay) Based on the novel by K.C. McKinnon ( Cathie Pelletier ) Music by Marvin Hamlisch  It took a while before I started writing this piece.  Why?  I was so affected by the story.  It is a happy kind of sad, and a sad kind of happy movie. ALICIA SILVERSTONE plays Dee Dee, a free spirited woman whose hopes and dreams are about to come to an end, to begin another chapter of her life. I have always admired the way she acted.  She could be sweet, sultry, kind, villainous, or whatever else. Here, she's a very loving mother who only wants the best for her young son.

Fallen Angel (2003)

A successful lawyer returns to his estranged late father's home to settle affairs and then leave, but something keeps him from going and, when he meets a familiar woman, an incident from his childhood involving his father, a fatal accident and her father returns to both haunt him and spur him into a ction.-Google Search Initial release:   23 November 2003 Director:   Michael Switzer Production company :  Sonar Entertainment Set decoration :  Clive Thomasson Writer: Don Snyder(Novel and Teleplay) Stars:  Gary Sinise, Joely Richardson, Jordy Benattar, Gordon Pinsent, Rick Roberts, Dave Nichols, Shawn Roberts, Ryan Simpkins, Jake Brockman, Bruce Gooch, Philip Craig, and Art Hindle Just like in real life, this story has many loose ends.  Not every mystery gets solved, and not every pain goes away. I like the way the story was weaved.  We could only guess why Mac McQuinn(MICHAEL RHOADES) was very cold to his son, Terry(JAKE BROCKMAN at 9,

Love, of Course (2018) and The Christmas Ornament (2013)

Story Number 1: When widowed mother Amy(Rutherfod) moves her only daughter, Cara(Vega) to her out-of-state college dorm, Amy finds herself searching for the next step in her life. While at the university, Amy gets an offer she can't refuse and meets Noah(Cameron Mathison), a charismatic, well-traveled professor, and discovers a new life of her own.   Written by  Hallmark Channel Directed by Lee Friedlander Written by (in alphabetical order) Tracy Andreen ... (teleplay by) Lee Friedlander ... (teleplay by) Janna King ... (story by) Janna King ... (teleplay by) "You've been taking care of everyone for a while, let me take care of you."-Prof. Noah Ferris to Amy  I don't know how accurate that sentence is, but the essence is there. The ending might be predictable, but the paths leading to the ending is like the maze of corn in the story. It is a very sweet story about a mother and a daughter who have a very good relationship. They are
