Win a Date With Tad Hamilton (2004)/You Lucky Dog(2010)

Pete (Topher Grace), the quirky, self-deprecating manager of a grocery store, is madly in love with his best friend, Rosalee (Kate Bosworth). Unfortunately, she has absolutely no idea. When Rosalee wins a date with her favorite actor, the smarmy Tad Hamilton (Josh Duhamel), Pete delays admitting his feelings to her. And when the scheming Hamilton relocates to their small town to pursue Rosalee in the wake of their initial meeting, a horrified Pete must struggle to win her heart.

Between JOSH DUHAMEL and TOPHER GRACE, I would choose Josh Duhamel anytime, but it's not about Josh and Topher.  It's about Tad and Pete.  Between Tad and Pete, it's Pete who is lovable, but he's what we Filipinos call torpe...there's no direct translation, and dork isn't the closest translation either. Most of the torpes let the loves of their lives slip away, and because of Rosalee(KATE BOSWORTH)'s rose coloured lenses when it comes to Tad, Pete is scared of telling her how he feels.

Celebrities who actually dated their fans.

GINNIFER GOODWIN is also here as the love-crazy best friend of Rosalee(1/3 of the BFFs...Pete is the other one).

GARY COLE plays Rosalee's father, Mr. Futch.

NATHAN LANE and SEAN HAYES play two different Richard Levys.

The movie has lots of funny moments, and Tad has many A hole moments, but it is obvious that when he met Rosalee, he really fell for her...he really fell in love, and it's not just an "I wanna get in your pants" kind of feeling.

Would I watch it again?  Maybe.  I'm not sure, but I did enjoy the movie.

If you do check this out, please observe Pete's dogs reactions.  He is amazing!

The Movie

A very touching movie about a Border Collie named Lucky who becomes a hero during a forest fire caused by lightning.

If you read the first part of this blog entry, then you would know that a dog also plays an important role in that movie, but Lucky here is the star.  The humans play important roles too, like the brother and sister tandem, Jim and Lisa, played by HARRY HAMLIN and NATASHA HENSTRIDGE along with their father, Clay, played by LAWRENCE DANE, but this is Lucky's movie.

This movie is sponsored by

Thankfully, they made it as natural as possible.  Some advertisements in movies are too pushy at times.

By the way, this is one of the best stories with dogs as central characters...it's a beautiful story for humans too.  ;-)

Would I watch it again?

Yes. Definitely!

and

Thanks for you time, everyone!
