Miss Granny (2014)/Miss Granny (2018)
Revised Romanization: Susanghan gunyeo
Adaptations: Sweet 20 (2017), Sweet 20 (2015), Miss Granny (2018)
Writers(from imdb):
Dong-hyuk Hwang ... (adaptation)
The Filipino version is almost exactly the same as the South Korean version. The songs are different, the fruits are different, but it is practically the same. It's like watching the same musical two different nights, the same script, but with different actors.
Both are equally beautiful. Of course, nothing beats the original, but the Filipino version adds a little Filipino touch to the story. There are many montages, and instead of a Fomentation House and an addiction to Telenovelas, there's the Zumba/Aerobics at the park and Lola Fely loves to watch wrestling.
I'm glad that Viva Films worked hand-in-hand with the South Korean producers, and I think it's one of the closest, for lack of a better term right now, remakes or Filipinized versions of a South Korean movie.

The South Korean version has a very great cast, so I'm glad they chose SARAH GERONIMO to play Doo-ri(SHIM EUN-KYUNG)'s counterpart, NOVA VILLA to play Mal-soon(NA MOON-HEE)'s counterpart, JAMES REID as Ji-ha(JIN YOUNG)'s counterpart, XIAN LIM as Seung-woo(LEE JIN-WOOK)'s counterpart, BOBOY GAROVILLO as Mr. Park's counterpart(PARK IN-HWAN), NONIE BUENCAMINO as Hyun-Chul(SUNG DUNG-IL)'s counterpart, LOTLOT DE LEON as Ae-ja(HWANG JUNG-MIN)'s counterpart, KIM MOLINA as Na-young(KIM HYUN SOOK)'s counterpart, MARISSA DELGADO as Ok-ja(PARK HYE-JIN)'s counterpart and DANITA PANER as Soo-yeon(HA YEON-JOO)'s counterpart. Sorry, I know you all did well, but I couldn't name everyone.

Directed by Bb. Joyce Bernal and Written by Ms. Jinky Laurel
This song is composed by JeBoy(James Reid's role) in the movie. In real life, it's composed by MIGUEL MENDOZA. It is very moving.
