Silk Hope(1999)

from imdb

Needless to say, the story is beautiful.  It is based on the book written by Lawrence Naumoff, one of the best there is.  This movie is well-acted, because the actors are good ones.  It's just that the role of Frannie Vaughan did not suit Farrah Fawcett even if she did a good job in the acting department for this movie.

How old was Frannie supposed to be? Definitely younger than Farrah's age of fifty-two.  They could've made her at least forty, because there are lots of forty-year-old women because of hard work and all, look older than their ages, but they made her much, much younger.

She's still beautiful and her body is still enviable.  She sure could act, but it's unbelievable that she's supposed to be only two years older than Rubin.  Who are they fooling?  If the age thing wasn't mentioned, then it would have been alright.  Younger men have fallen for older women, but saying she was only two years older, whether it's a joke or not, is full of crap. Also, people keep calling her "young lady".  Duh?!?

Clay was did a good thing by helping one of the workers, and because of that he got into trouble.  The story gets depressing, but thankfully, there's some light at the end the tunnel(hope). I hate the fact that the business owners still got away with murder. Well, not exactly, but... In real life, those things really happen, so I am not lambasting the story, just the choice of actors, especially for the role of Frances Vaughan.
