Charming seasonal clerk Steve Mason(DAVID JAMES ELLIOTT) gets fired for helping beautiful Jodie Ennis(CYNTHIA GIBB) in return a toy train during the busy Christmas rush. Over lunch Mason discovers that Ennis is a widow of a hero who died saving people except himself, and now she is a single mother, that little by little his heart melts. Mason befriends Jodie and her young son, Timmy(CURTIS BLANCK), and getting on Timmy's good side may complicate her plans to marry the nice guy named Paul Davis(TOM IRWIN) who has been in love with her for two years.- Paraphrased from the Worldwide Web

As an avid watcher of JAG for ten years, I wonder how I could miss such an endearing holiday movie starring DAVID JAMES ELLIOTT opposite CYNTHIA GIBB. Well, better late than never.  I thank my lucky stars that I was able to watch this movie made for television.

One might say things like this only happen in the movies, but stranger things have happened in real life.

Although more often than not whirlwind romances do not last, there are exceptions to the rule. I know a couple who got married weeks after they fell in love and they have been together for thirty years, but I also know a couple who did not stay married past the seven-year-itch.

In this movie, love is almost in an instant for Jodie, Steve and Timmy, but I can't help admire Paul, for being the good man that he is...sort of like Bill Pullman in Sleepless in Seattle.

Cynthia Gibb and David James Elliott have good onscreen chemistry.  The little boy who plays Timmy is a very good actor.  The three of them bring magic onscreen... well, that's just my opinion.

How do I describe this movie without giving spoilers?  Hmm.  Let me think.  Ah, I think I know how.  Directed by Gino M.
