A washed-up ex-tennis pro, Billy Travis (David Hasselhoff), is the number one suspect after his wife, Sara Wingate-Travis (Doran Clark), is assumed murdered due to premeditated drowning in the lake near their country home. The motive? Money, of course, since she was the one with all the money and Travis was anything but loyal to her. But Perry Mason (Raymond Burr) and his assistant investigator, Paul Drake Jr. (William Katt), defend Travis against the charges, uncovering possible evidence linking the murder to an older crime.-WWW
Written by: Shel Willens based on the characters created by Erle Stanley Gardner.
Produced by Dean Hargrove and Fred Silverman

DAVID HASSELHOFF was still at his prime at thirty-six.  I think I've encountered him first as Michael Knight in Knight Rider. This Perry Mason Episode/TV Movie was before his Baywatch days as Mitch Buchannon.  Here he plays a has-been tennis star, William "Billy" Travis, who is so much in love with his wife, that he wants to protect her with all his might.  Not everyone likes this because he was making his wife, Sara, played by DORAN CLARK stable.  They all want her institutionalised so they could gets pieces of her pie.

When does Perry Mason(RAYMOND BURR) come in?  He comes in when one or more people set him up for the murder of Sara, his beloved.  Killing two birds with one stone, so to speak.  Of course, all the evidences lead to Michael, but there's something they missed.  Corpus Delicti? Well, that, and something else connected to that.

This episode is pretty exciting.  Paul Drake Jr.(WILLIAM KATT, The Greatest American Hero and BARBARA HALE's(Della Street) son) had plenty of leg work and car chasing scenes where he could have died.

I hope you would have get the chance to watch it.

Thanks for your time.
