Christmas With A View (2018)

Directed by Justin G. Dyck

This made for TV movie is loosely based on Teresa Southwick's The Maverick's Christmas Homecoming

David Finley (screenplay)

Keith Cooper (script consultant)

Rebecca Lamarche (additional material)

As adaptations go, people would tend to compare it with the original story, and usually the readers would prefer the book.

The book is beautiful, because it leaves a lot of room for imagination.  Yes, your imagination could run wild, and there are many, many possibilities, but I must say that this TV movie is beautiful too.

There were conflicts, yes.  It would be boring if there were none.

I like the fact that even if there were misunderstandings in between, Clara(KAITLYN LEEB) and Shane(SCOTT CAVALHEIRO) did not waste any time.  Their kisses were wonderful and at the same time, brought cheap thrills to the viewers.

There were many stories with the same theme, and I must say things like what happened in the story, the positive and the negative, still happen in real life, so it's realistic in its own way.

I really had fun watching this, and I would probably watch this again one day.

Some of the supporting cast:

VIVICA A. FOX as Lydia, Clara's mom

MARK GHANIMÉ as Hugh Peters, Clara's boss

KRISTEN KURNIK as Bonnie, Clara's best friend since childhood

PATRICK DUFFY as Frank Haven, Clara's "surrogate" father

JESS WALTON as Jackie Haven, Clara's "surrogate" mother

and

JOSEPH CANNATA as Clive, Bonnie's boyfriend
