MARTIAL LAW(ML) 2018

First, I have to acknowledge to the great acting of the indefatigable EDDIE GARCIA.  The others were good too, but of course, it was Mr. Garcia who stood out.

What did I think of the story?

It has good intentions to open the eyes of the millennials and those people who believe that Martial Law was good for us, and is still good for us.  Those who think that the people tortured during the Marcos Rule got their just deserts are surely going to think twice after seeing this movie.  Well, that was the hope of everyone involved in this project.

Spoiler alert:

Mr. Migue, we really felt we were being tortured too. We felt our nails being pulled, our bodies electrocuted and violated, our minds exploding, and wits diminishing, but we have some concerns:

1.  If the Colonel was time warped, how come he knew how to use a smart phone?;

2. He was watching TV...the news...he was aware of the EJK and current issues, so he had lucid moments, so why did he stay in the Martial Era even the following day?;

3. If the thing that triggered his insanity was the line of questioning of Carlo(TONY LABRUSCA), why didn't he wake up from his reverie and Carlo's nightmare even just for a while?;

4.  Pat(LIANNE VALENTIN) already found the Colonel to be freaky, but still, she went inside? OK, that could be believable because a lot of people don't follow their gut feelings;

5. Jaze(HENZ VILLARAIZ) and Valkyrie:  OK, he was aware of Norse Mythology because he is a learned man, but you would doubt his integrity, and you would wonder if he's truly insane or just pulling our legs...then there's the issue of his knowledge of using smart phones.  There were car phones before, and since he was a bemedalled METROCOM officer, there's a possibility that he knew of certain gadgets that were state-of-the-art during the 1970s, but a smart mobile phone?  Come on!

The list actually goes on.

Anyways, it's a good thing his grandchildren arrived, or else.  Haist.

Well, I don't want to give everything away, plus, I think that's all I have to say.
