Every Christmas Has a Story (2016) and Christmas Cookies (2016)

When a TV personality has an on-air snafu and admits she hates Christmas, she is invited to the Most Christmas-y town in the US to try and repair her image. Forced to work with her ex-boyfriend Jack, the show's producer, the magic of Christmas and this special town will change the way she views Christmas and her life. Aunt Sally’s Christmas Cookie Company is sold to a large conglomerate and executive Hannah (Wagner) must seal the deal and shut down the factory, which is the small town of Cookie Jar’s lifeblood. What was supposed to be a simple assignment for Hannah becomes complicated when she meets Jake (Brown), the factory owner who’s determined to keep the factory in town. Despite not being a fan of the holiday, the Christmas spirit in this small town is infectious and she gets swept up in the joy of the season while also falling in love. Starring Jill Wagner and Wes Brown.- The Hallmark Channel
Director: James Head
Writer:  Robert Tate Miller

Also starring P. Lynn Johnson as Betty, Amelie Eve as Bonnie, Tiera Skovbye as Brooke, Barclay Hope as Miles Thurbur, Jim Thorburn as Gavin, Chelsey Reist as Kelly, Chris Gauthier as Ed, Marci T. House as Melody, Tom Tasse as Herb, and Dee Jay Jackson as Sam

What do these two stories have in common?  The two female lead characters' surnames are both Harper. Or should I have said the two female leader characters' surname is Harper?  In any case, I think that's the only thing they have in common, besides finding the true meaning of Christmas or the Christmas spirit.  Well, maybe I could add that both are formulaic and predictable.  Other than those, the two movies are different like Venus is to Mars.

Which do I like better?

I have mixed feelings with EVERY CHRISTMAS HAS A STORY. One would think I would choose this one because I like LORI LOUGHLIN, COLIN FERGUSON, and WILLIE AAMES because I sort of grew up with two of them via the telly plus they are closer to my age, and the story, though not perfect, has its uniqueness and likability factors.

As for CHRISTMAS COOKIES, I love almost everything about it, especially the two lead stars, WES BROWN and JILL WAGNER.

So again, which do I like better?  Christmas Cookies, of course.  Even if it's also formulaic and predictable, there's still the surprise about the solution to the problem, but if you have listened closely to the conversations, you probably would've guessed it too. Still, if it's just between these two Christmas stories, I reiterate, I like Christmas Cookies better.
