Ms. Matched (2016)/ A Prince For Christmas (2015)/ Christmas Belle (2013)/My Summer Prince(2016)
Haylie Duff and Nicholas Gonzalez
Grumpy grieving Hunter Lowell hires Rex's firm to make an expert inventory of the library in his Californian wine estate for sale as he lives in San Francisco. Rex's daughter Isabella comes do it, he presses her to work hard. Belle starts enjoying the Christmas season and starts falling in love with the estate and dog Beast, slowly with the hunky owner, whose devoted housekeeper Angie explains Hunter never came to terms with losing his late wife, whose roses gazebo are off-limits even to her, yet an invaluable sale plus. Hunter warms up to Isabella, who gets him to taste life again, even consider reviving the Christmas ball in the barn. But Rex gave his blessing to her posh Wall Street fiance Tony, who proves a masterly schemer and even brings in Rex, who 'literally' eats out of his hand.
What do these four movies have in common? All the ladies are beautiful and look very regal. Two stories have real princes and good hearted parents that only want the best for their sons.
Two stories are about ordinary people.
What is my favourite among the four, story wise? I love Christmas Belle. Why? Maybe it's because I could relate to it the most in so many ways.
One example is Belle(HAYLIE DUFF)'s love for books and dogs...and....Well, I know I am still single now, but I had a suitor who was so much like Tony(MARK FAMIGLIETTI). I think Mark Famiglietti is being typecast into roles that are borderline psycho. It's touching that he is so "in love" with one of the story's central characters, but his roles are so annoying. It's a pity because he could be so cute if he wanted to. While seeing Mr. Famiglietti's Tony being so...what's the word? Clingy? Possessive? I shuddered. Argh.
Belle's dad is played by my high school crush, TOMMY HOWELL(a.k.a. C Thomas Howell). Like Tony, he's somewhat annoying here. He's so lazy. He made me wonder if he really loved his daughter or not.

Oh, in A Prince for Christmas, I was sad that AARON O'CONNELL's role, Todd, was the annoying one. I tried imagining him being Prince Duncan instead. I asked myself, What if KIRK BARKER was Todd and Aaron O'Connell was Prince Duncan? I think it would have been easier to watch.
What am I saying? Kirk Barker grows on you anyways. So what's wrong? Nothing, really. It's just that it was hard to imagine Emma(VIVA BIANCA) having an instant attraction with him when she just let go of Todd. To be attracted to Kirk Barker, in a strong manner, I mean, because he's not ugly... Well, to be attracted to him in that sense would mean spending a lot of time doing stuff together, having long conversations over hot chocolate or coffee or tea, et cetera, et cetera. You would notice his cuteness after all those activities together. Well, that's just my opinion.

All four stories are quite predictable, but thankfully, there are lots of sweet moments that would make you thank your lucky stars that you watched this film.
They are light made for TV movies meant to lift your spirits up. It's not made for you to think too much. It was made for you to sit back, relax and be swept away...
I like Ms. Matched because of ALEXA PENAVEGA. I have adored her since she was a little girl and I'm glad she's still very much visible in the entertainment industry.

My Summer Prince is not a new story, but I enjoyed it. I love JACK TURNER as the prince. It suited him. TAYLOR COLE is lovely as Mandy. LAUREN HOLLY as Mandy's boss, Deidre Kelly. MARINA SIRTIS looks very regal here. Why didn't she play the queen instead? Is it because of her ethnicity? It could have been easily fixed if they just showed that Prince Colin's father was also played by Jack Turner(pictures...money...). The queen(VANESSA ANGEL) could have played Lauren Holly's sister. There were scenes there where I was a tad confused who the was between those two.
Oh well.
