Christmas Festival of Ice(2017)/ Midnight Masquerade(2014)/My Perfect Romance(2018)/Merry Matrimony(2015)/One Starry Christmas(2014)

This set is about DAMON RUNYAN and CHRISTOPHER RUSSELL.  They are two of the most versatile actors in the world.  They can be nice, nasty, and evil, effortlessly.  There's one movie in this blog entry that they are both in it called MIDNIGHT MASQUERADE. That movie inspired me to write this blog entry.

Christopher Russell and Autumn Reeser (with Damon Runyan)

Director: Graeme Campbell
Writer: Patricia Resnick
A reverse Cinderella story where the guy(CHRISTOPHER RUSSELL), though not exactly poor, is definitely out of the female lead(AUTUMN REESER)'s league.  He is also too nice for his own good.

His older sister(SHAUNA MACDONALD) plays the role of the fairy godmother, and his niece(HELEN COLLIANDER) is like a fairy godmother's apprentice or something.

He has two allies: Merry(KIM ROBERTS) and Sam(NEIL CRONE).

He has three NEPOTISTIC evil bosses:  The conniving father(CHRIS GILLETT) and his two sons(DAMON RUNYAN) and (DANNY SMITH).  The father spoiled his two sons who probably do not know how to be lawyers without Rob Carelli(Christopher's role)'s help.  They make him do everything and they get credited for everything.

Oh, by the way, the "princess" has a very handsome and loving dad played by RICHARD BURGI.

Alright it's predictable.  It has to be and sometimes we need predictability.  Even if it's predictable and we probably know how the story would end, we would wonder how the dupers would be caught.  When they would finally be caught, you would surely jump for joy.  That's an exaggeration, of course.  I'm just certain you would have at least a smile on your face.

Director: Justin G. Dyck
Writers: Stella Bagwell

The long and short of it: I like this movie, but I don't love it.  It's not the best written movie in the world, and there were lots of movies with the same theme, but it's bearable.

(Loosely based on the novel "Fortune's Perfect Valentine" by her), and Amanda McNeice(teleplay)

At first glance it looks the same, but it's slightly different from this one:

Next on the list is

BASED ON THE BALLAD OF WILD BILL
It's a very scary world, so when you(female) meet a person(male) who rescues you, and you're the one who acknowledges that you're a stranger that doesn't need rescuing, he still gives you a ride, keeps you safe six to eight hours then brings you home to your folks in one piece, I say you've got a keeper.

Adam, your boyfriend, was wrong from the start.

Need I say more?  :-)

Hmmm.  I don't really get TAYLOR COLE's character's dilemma much, but I like Damon Runyan's character here.    :-) The ice sculptures are beautiful, but the story is a bit shallow.  Anyways, I did watch it from start to finish.  It's not a super duper mushy movie, and that works for me.

Unlike the many people who watched this movie, I like this.  Brie was insecure of Isabella because it's understandable.  If I were not straight, I would choose Isabella over Brie.  The ending is anticlimactic, but I'm very glad they didn't downplay Jared too much.  He is a good person.  I also like Brie's assistant, Megan, and Brie's boss, Claudia.

Phil, Brie and Eddie's college buddy, is a good person, and I like his family too.

I like this movie because you see the two sides of the coin, but those involved are clueless.

They should have kept in touch.  This movie was shown in 2015.  If they couldn't call each other,  by the power of technology and convergence, they would have been able to connect with one another.  It's not as if they were totally private people.  They are both famous in their respective fields, so I just don't get how they could just... That's only possible if it's deliberate, like one of them was blocked or something.

Anyways, I don't agree that the two lead characters don't have chemistry.  Please don't be unfair to them.

Hope you click the links and watch the movies so you can see for yourselves if you like them or not.

Thanks a bunch for your time.
